Some of the 'Minecraft' quizzes that've gone online over the years-- lemme tell you-- they need help. More 'Minecraft' quizzes are pulled offline in VG than any other topic because of time-sensitivity. This coupled with super repetitive contents makes them a good selection for elevation in any way. Is it permissible to change the category of an adopted quiz, e.g. from Literature to Movies? Reply #2. Aug 31 23, 2:35 AM |

This is something to discuss with an editor in the original category, but my first instinct is that a movement like that is too drastic. I think you could possibly get away with switching subcategories within the same main category, but switching from one medium to another is a pretty big leap. That said, changing quiz formats is completely acceptable. For example, if an adopted quiz could benefit from becoming a photo quiz or a match quiz, then we generally encourage authors to use their creativity and go for it. Reply #3. Aug 31 23, 2:39 AM |

Thanks, Trident. That makes sense! Reply #4. Aug 31 23, 3:01 AM |

I would never say never on it. We don't want people claiming an Adopted quiz just to use that template and up their numbers willy-nilly with a topic that had nothing to do with the original prompt. That said, someone could take a quiz about 'Logging Practices in Utah' and turn it into a quiz about 'National Parks in Utah' and it would probably help it become more accessible. Reply #5. I have changed the category of an adopted quiz a couple of times. Both quizzes were originally in Geography, but the existing questions were on a variety of topics, so I moved both of them to General/Mixed Countries - which is not so dramatically different from Geography.
