Crosswords are bulky, tricky editing projects, so it does take some time for them to work their way through the queue. Many of the crossword authors who have many crosswords online are well-practiced at writing them, so they know the potential problems and avoid them, allowing for their work to go through the queue without having to be sent back for corrections. If this is you first crossword attempt, there are likely going to be (or already have been) a number of errors that you will have to address. And each of those errors was something a crossword editor had to meticulously check for, as, one more time, crosswords are beasts to edit. Having gone through the crossword editing queue experience myself, I think the best thing you can do is make sure your crossword is the best it can be upon submission, and then be patient. It's not as fast as the quiz queues. Reply #1. Oct 13 26, 4:25 PM |

I would also note that your crossword is tagged, on our end, as already being worked on by an editor. We try to avoid stepping on each other's toes to ensure that our creators have consistency coming from our side, so that edit will be contingent on their availability. Reply #2. Oct 13 26, 4:27 PM |
