I'm sure there are many people who'd agree with you. In fact, a few members of my team do. Unfortunately, there are those of us who are not senior citizens, or otherwise non-HP fans. I like Harry Potter. I enjoy those quizzes/categories.
There are also lots of Lord of the Rings questions. Some people hate em. It doesn't make them any less trivial.

There are a lot of categories I'm not good at or interested in. They are valid to others No need to get rid of anything just play what you like. Just my opinion

I wonder why there's not a religion category for the easy game!

Good question - I'm sure there are enough fairly simple questions in the database.

Thank you! I've been mentioning that for awhile. Same for the inundation of LOTR. I really don't mind subjects that I don't excel in (because at least I'm learning something useful) But I've avoided the HP craze and now I feel forced to watch/read the darn series.

And another perfect 10 brought down by Harry Potter.....
(at least this time it's actually in the children's category)
;)
Looks like I'll be renting some HP dvds in the near future.
LOL.

I know nothing about American preisdents, coins, or the civil war; and questions about all of those things come up in all sorts of categories. I'm learning a lot.

If it wasnt for HP quizzes, I wouldnt have found this site at all. Just because you dont like something doesnt mean that everyone should stone it to death.

I may have come across a little too strong about the HP quizzes, but it is frustrating when you get all of them right except that one.Although what little I know about HP has come from these quizzes.Guess I will have to do what someone else mentioned,do some reading or watching DVDs on that subject.

Happy quizzing everyone,Pat

Wish I could agree with you....as the mother of teens...I have been dragged kicking and screaming....NO, PLEASE, NO MORE !!!...yet I have see ALL the damned "Fairy" movies as I delight in calling them...and made to read the childishly written books by Joanne Rowling...and YES, I know what happens to Harry an Ron's sister in the last book.
Kak...!!!...but with all this enforced knowledge...PLEASE don't delete the Harry Potter quizzes...!
REMOVE LOTR quizzes...YES...Leviosa departus foreverus...!

I just re read the thread and it hardly sounds as if any stoning is going on. LOL. On the contrary, it appears that most of us have expressed a willingness to learn new things. I think we should be allowed to express our mild frustrations amongst ourselves without being accused of biblical crimes. ;) It is a valid point that a lot of adults aren't into children's movies, but hey, as long as they stay in the children's category I have no complaints.

Ohm....

Not everybody can be good in every subject. Children don't know that much about Ancient History and adults don't know much about children's TV and games. If you got rid of the HP questions, children would find it harder than adults and visa-versa

I for one will not be playing Piece of Cake Children again.
I simply do not know one end of Harry Potter from the other. I have seen some of the films but I have no idea in which order they come. I can only guess by judging the age of the cast.

Harry Potter wrecks my average score!

If the netball thread was closed due to "complaining", why hasn't Big Brother closed this one? They are both topics which are obscure to most people. I surmise the moderator is a huge fan of netball.

BTW, I hate HP, and will NEVER attempt to learn anything about him or his cronies. We've had this HP discussion many times on our team thread.

My thoughts are only an opinion, of course...

I've been holding my peace on this for awhile but can no longer do so. A chat board forum was added awhile ago on the hourly games which was good idea to let players discuss items related to the games. The main reason why I hardly ever post is because whenever an interesting discussing comes up among players(who submit questions & support this site through gold membership, including me). An editor who doesn't agree with the direction the chat is going shuts it down. In doing some checking the majority of time it's romeomikegolf. Unless a player is personally being attacked & takes it to an editor & complains I feel players should have their say, free speech right? But I live in the U.S.A maybe things are different in the U.K. If this gets me in trouble so be it, but the majority of my pleasure in this site comes from playing the games & reading lively dicussions. I feel most people can take a litte good natured ribbing & so forth. That being said this is my favorite site on the net & Terry & the rest of the editors do a fantastic job running it. They were very helpful to me & my team when our Team leader left us high & dry.
