Subject: Lifts and Rip-Offs

I just noticed that "21 Guns" by Green Day is a bit of a rip-off of ELO's "Telephone Line", melodically anyway. What examples can you think of where one artist lifted something from another?

As much as I love them, ACDC pretty much rips themselves off in every other song.

That is true and now you've forced me to admit that my hero Keith Richards relied pretty heavily on slight variations of the same riff for about 15 years. When he started with the open tuning with five strings he found a sound that I guess just kept repeating in his head. He admits it though...Quote from 1988: "People think I've written hundreds of songs, or whatever. Bah! I've written maybe five or six!"

This might be a good place to post. For some reason the song Sad Lisa by Cat Stevens seems familiar to another song that I can't put a name to. Any ideas?
