'In My Life' by The Beatles followed by 'Freebird' - the full version with manditory air guitar by every single person at the funeral. (Assuming anyone turns up of course.) Reply #1. Mar 08 12, 6:19 PM |

My favorite song is (as I've stated on FT numerous times) "Can't You Hear Me Knockin' by the Stones. Hopefully it would not be a fitting song for my funeral, if you catch my drift..."Can't ya hear me knockin'...on my casket.." I might pick "Thumbing My Way" by Pearl Jam. Reply #2. "All Things Must Pass" - George Harrison. And only if I was an important figure on the world's stage. I would hope that one of my toadies would have them play "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber. Reply #6. Mar 11 12, 11:35 AM |

For me, the song at the funeral would be Everything Is Beautiful by Ray Stevens then the first song I want at the party afterwards is the song I Had The Time Of My Life from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. Reply #7. Mar 11 12, 1:39 PM |

Perhaps "I'll Follow the Sun" by The Beatles. However, I once played a game on the Internet where you have to answer questions with whichever song title comes next on your iPod/computer etc. For which song would be played at my funeral I got "I'm A Loser" by The Beatles. Maybe that would be appropriate. Reply #8. Mar 17 12, 10:16 AM |

Depressing but interesting. I'd choose any of Chopin's piano pieces as an entrance piece. They're exquisite. And as they stand up to leave, Pink's "Get the Party Started" :) Reply #11. Mar 20 12, 8:34 PM |

Come to think of it, unless you believe in reincarnation, the lyrics wouldn't make much sense..."When I finally get back up on my feet again..." Reply #16. Mar 24 12, 8:29 AM |

I've decided I want Sigur Rós played at my funeral. Their songs are so ambient, you don't even have to understand what they're saying to enjoy them! Which track is a tough question, but perhaps "Ágætis byrjun" (The song), "Olsen Olsen", "Starálfur" or one of the tracks from "()". Reply #17. Nov 09 12, 9:21 AM |
