Best actor was late Richard Harris, and so is Michael Gambon, both of whom portrayed dumbledore, Radcliffe's acting has improved in the last two movies, he was very bad at acting at the start, rest, Tom feltons, malfoy alan rickman, snape and ofcourse rupert grint as ron, were extremely good.. I do also agree that Daniel Radcliffe is the worst actor. I think that Professor Dumbledore is one of the best, but I liked the old Prof. Dumbledore better than the one who plays in the 3rd through the 5th movies. I also like Snapes acting. Reply #10. Aug 02 08, 3:18 PM |

For those who think Dan Radcliffe is a terrible actor, could you please elaborate and list some scenes in which you think his acting was pathetic? The only scene of his I can recall that seemed 'fake' was the crying scene in Prisoner of Azkaban..."He was their friend! Sob! Sob!" He has improved dramatically since that time. Reply #11. Me saying Radcliffe is the least best does not mean he is a pathetic actor. It means that Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, and the rest of the young cast are better then him. He has Improved qutie a bit. In my opinion he needs to work on his emotions, like crying and stuff. "Daniel is not good actor." This is a direct quote from you, nokeweb. It's pretty clear with not much room for misinterpretation of any kind. So, again, which scene(s), other than the crying scene I mentioned from the third film, shows his 'not good acting'? Ans since you mentioned his inability to show emotion, I guess that doesn't bode well for the Dobby death scene in the last film, does it? And yet, so many are looking forward to that. Reply #13. The scene in OotP were Harry is upset about not getting news from Hermione and Ron about what's happening in the wizarding world was not a particularly good piece of acting. also In GoF when Ron gets mad at Harry for "not telling him how he got accepted into the Triwizard Tournament" when harry says "I don't how it happened and I don't know why" wasn't a good scene either. I would rate Emma Watson as the least convicing actress. Her scenes are very 'plastic' and lacking in emotion, for example the entire Yule Ball sequence. Her scene with Ron at the end after he 'ruined everything' was not at all convincing, certainly not as good as Daniel trying to convince Rupert that he hadn't lied about getting into the Triwizard tournament. She looked dazed as if she'd just walked out of a dentist's office instead of thrilled at dancing with an international Quidditch star. Hermione wouldn't be fazed by a famous athlete, so it couldn't be that. I'm still not seeing that Daniel is significantly worse at acting than any of the other kids were. The only one who really seemed assured right from the start was Tom Felton, but then he'd acted before. The others hadn't. Experience is a big help. Alan Rickman (Snape) is probably the best, but Emma Watson is good too. But I agree with SlytherinWitch about the Yule Ball bits. Once she sits down after dancing with Victor she seems a bit...awkward. I know that there's meant to be some tension between the trio, but this doesn't look deliberate. Reply #20.
