What Are The Worst Movies You Have Ever Seen?
Mine are both horror films -

"A Name For Evil" - 1970
AND
"Dominique Is Dead" - 1979

I was watching Mystery Science Theater 3000 when I saw the worst movie ever made. It was called The Incredible Strange Creatures Who Stoped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombie. To all of you out there please don't watch this movie. It's a waste of your life. And if you are watch the Mystery Science Theater version. The original would be too much.

I think it was called 'You've Got Mail'. The main character just sat there for the whole film with no expression.

Worst movies, in my opinion: "Crank" (it's nothing but random violence), "Swept Away" (the original: incredibly offensive and misgynistic), "American Pie Presents Beta House" (extremely unfunny), "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" (lots of continuity issues and plot holes, one-dimensional characters), and "The Producers" the remake (the original is one of my favorite movies but I had to turn off the remake after about 25 minutes). Also, the movie remake of "The Stepford Wives": the original was a chilling social commentary, but the remake was an unfunny, trivialized joke.

Mannequin. Unfunny piece of garbage
Ishtar. A black mark on Beatty's and Hoffman's careers

As I was, and still am, a massive fan of Highlander, I remember going to watch Highlander II, chock full of excitement and high hopes. Actually watching it was like sitting down and having knitting needles plunged repeatedly into my eyes for two hours. It stank. It stank so badly I cried.

ella enchanted - what a waste of parminder nagra's talents. I only pray that hardly anyone saw this movie.

THE worst movie EVER made is Eraserhead it is so horrible I'd rather poke my own eyes out than ever watch it again. Its so bad it should be buried so no one can ever see it again EVER.

The Draughtsman's Contract. Diary of a Chambermaid. Erin Brockovich. Anything remotely connected with Michael Moore.

Working in the environmental industry, Erin Brockovich did make me laugh, especially when she is prostituting herself to see the "secret files" at the Water Board. ANYONE can access those files - they are public domain. Quick thinking on the part of the caseworker. :)

Very bad movies:

Someone Has To Shoot the Picture
Napoleon Dynamite
Soul Plane
Back to the Beach

The Worst of all time:

In Gods Hands

If you have insomnia, this is a great movie to cure it. Never, I repeat, NEVER cast pro surfers in acting roles and give them monologues to drone over. Painful movie to watch. I'd rather have a root canal while serving on jury duty than try (2 attempts, still could not make it through without passing out) to watch that again.

These movies have a large fan followings, but I absolutely despise these films!

1) Dave (I hate the cast, I hate the pacing, and I hate the film, period)

2) Three Amigos (The casting is good, but the humor is nowhere, thereby making it a painful hour and a half of life in an unenjoyable film setting)

3) Staying Alive (The first film was no masterpiece IMO, but the second was a real work in pain. Stallone knows how to direct, but this film was horrible. I wouldn't watch it ever again, and I would never recommend it to anyone. At least this film could be used to interrogate prisoners of war...)

Movies that were a sheer waste of celluloid as far as I'm concerned:
'Apocalypse Now' - great actors, lousy movie.
Disney's travesty versions of 'Mowgli', 'Alice in Wonderland', 'Peter Pan', and 'Winnie the Pooh'.
'Exodus' - great theme music and little else to recommend it.
'The Ten Commandments' (or any other Biblical epic, except for 'The Life of Brian').
'Gone with the Wind'. I realize that most people adore it, but I thought it was 'way over the top, and frankly, I didn't give a d*mn about any of the characters in it.

How could I forget 'Titanic', which gave me a severe case of mal de mer? How anyone could come up with that slush when the real-life Titanic story is far more compelling and dramatic is beyond me. I prefer the 1955 film "A Night to Remember', much more true-to-life.

The Godfather - 111. How could the first two be so good, and the third be so bad? YUK!

Or any film that 'Hollywood' warps,or makes up/disregards historical facts.

Oh, and add 'The Passion of the Christ' to my previous submissions. 126 minutes of cr*p (in Latin and Aramaic, no less), 100 minutes of which is unremitting blood and gore. Dreadful film!

Thanks, Buffy. I was beginning to think that I was the only person who had ever seen 'A Night to Remember'.

No,Cym,you aren't the only one! One of Kenneth Moores better roles,I think. And David McCullum's first film?
