Are you sure? I'm going to go check in the last book. It's sitting in my room 5 feet away. Be right back. Reply #3. Jul 27 09, 11:07 AM |

Save yourself the trouble. Draco married, but the *book* didn't say to whom. It's in the post-book interviews that it was revealed Draco married Astoria Greengrass. Who? Yes, that's right. A major cahracter married and had a family with a character who never once appears in the book or is even mentioned in the book (though one might assume she is the sister to Daphne Greengrass). Of course, since none of this is written anywhere in the actual books, one *could* ignore it at will. Denial=the best friend of a fandom. It worked for Star Trek and Star Wars. The Potter fandom is quite splintered now, as well. Reply #4. Jul 27 09, 1:44 PM |

Yes, according to Rowling Draco married an Astoria Greengrass and had two sons: Scorpius and Hyperion. http://www.jkrowling.com/en/index.cfm Reply #5. Jul 27 09, 2:06 PM |

I actually wouldn't want JK Rowling to do this. I know the writing would be fantastic but I'd rather leave it up to the imagination. It's very tempting but I like things where she left them. -Elizabeth Reply #7. Jul 28 09, 2:59 PM |

I do't think do, but maybe books on James and Lily's time at hogwarts. Still, I think she should leave it as it is. Reply #12. Aug 05 11, 4:07 AM |

It wouldn't be Harry Potter if it was about the next generation. I hate to see things end, so she could write about Harry and Ron and their new job as aurors. Reply #13. Dec 07 11, 8:46 PM |

Much as we might want the Harry Potter adventures to continue, perhaps we should remember that all good things come to an end. A wise author will quit while she is ahead, thus ensuring that "spin off" books about the descendants of Potter's generation are not subjected to the inevitable criticism of many sequels: "It wasn't as good as the Harry Potter books." As a big fan, I have to say I'd rather leave the next generation (as well as the previous!) left alone. The speculation of what would (or did) happen will keep the dedicated fans in a state of post-Potter depression just as happy, if not more, than any actual new books. Tons of readers would be sad to see their pet theories destroyed and there would of course always be comparisons to the original series. Leave the kiddos to the fanfiction writers, yeah? Reply #18. They should have a pre-series. There's like 50 years worth of crazy stuff that happened to Dumbldore, Hagrid, all the characters parents, the possibilities are endless. Reply #20. Feb 28 14, 9:03 PM |
