I've tried to write a few short stories in the past, but it was harder than I thought, so none made it to publication or submission anywhere.
What about you? Is writing short stories easy or hard?

Yes, I write short stories. Sometimes it is hard, sometimes words just... come to me. I enter writing contests a lot and I hope sometime I'll get one published. Reply #1. Mar 14 10, 7:37 PM |

Good for you! I've never submited anything myself--never considered I had a chance. Plus, in the editing process something happens, and I end up throwing everythng away. (I guess it's that horrible self critic). Reply #2. Mar 15 10, 5:37 AM |

Here's the synopsis (storyline) for a short story I wrote in 2008. The story is called 'Pangaea Welcomes You.' "Gwendolyn, her brother, Xian, sister, Janna, & their Grandmother, live a hard life in a tiny village in Africa. Then, one day, strangers calling themselves 'All-Earth Ambassadors' arrive in the village. They explain that they are from a newly-discovered country called Pangaea & have come to offer the villagers new homes & new lives.
