Call me a curmudgeon, but I don't understand why everyone has gone gaga over this kid. His singing voice is average, as are his music and his lyrics! I've said it before and I'll say it again: there should be a moratorium on people who embark on music careers before they've finished high school! Ashlehy: What is the big deal about Justin Bieber? My sister would marry him in a heart beat if she could. I like him even less after taking a bus downtown this evening. The bus was packed with prepubescent females all shrieking at one another because they were on their way to the Justin Bieber concert. The trip took 25 minutes longer than usual because traffic was heavy as scores and scores of dads dropped off apprehensive-looking mums and more frenzied pre-teens at the concert location which happens to be on the main drag of our city! The traffic wasn't the only thing that was snarled. I was ready to swat the screechy kidlets on the bus and when they all leapt off at the concert site, the bus driver snapped the doors shut behind them with a loud "Thank God!" It seems that he and Kim Kardashian were in the Bahamas for a "secret" photo shoot, but his fans have assumed that they are there as a couple, and she says they are threatening to kill her. “Is that not ridiculous that people thought that Justin Bieber and I were on vacation together, on a romantic vacation, in the Bahamas and I just happened to wear a gown as my swimsuit, and red lips and he's dressed in a suit in the ocean? “There's another shot where I was wearing a full trench coat with lingerie on underneath, thigh highs and heels walking to the beach. He is just a kid,but he has parlayed a YouTube appearance into a very lucrative career of sorts. He will probably last a few more years or until his voice breaks and then fade into obscurity until the next cute guy with a mediocre voice comes along to drive the young girls wild. Reply #12. I've got to agree with Daaanieeel on this subject. I'm old enough to be Justin Bieber's grandma, and I have to admit I don't at all care for his music. However, like many of you, I thought (5 years ago) that he was just a 'flash in the pan' who would disappear just as quickly as he arrived, due to the fickle nature of the general public. Well, he's STILL here, beginning an acting career, and has an even larger fan base than ever. Give the kid a break! If you don't care for his music, nobody's forcing you to listen to it. The Beatles fans grew up and still loved the Beatles. I'm one of them. Let's see where those screeching fans of Bieber are in thirty years. Flash in the pan is what it's all about now. He's a seventeen-year-old singer, who is (IMHO) personable, presentable, and getting better at singing. A lot of people seem to like his voice and his music, so - good luck to him!
