I prefer books except for travel when I need all the space I can get so I use e-books then.

Pdfs or e-books will never substitute the feeling of touching, writing notes even smelling good old books.

Books are superior to the internet. Books have editors. Any fool can post on the internet (and many do).

I use the internet when I need to know or check something quickly. For the pure enjoyment of reading a well written story it is a book every time.

The internet is wonderful for research and shopping, but for the pure joy of reading, nothing can replace a book you can hold in your hands while snuggled up with a blanket in a comfy chair.

I prefer books and, so far, have done a darned good job of ignoring my Kindle.

One good thing about ebooks is that they can be updated and edited much more easily than print books. So for reference materials they are probably better. But for reading pleasure, I much prefer print books.

While I love books and generally would prefer to read in paper, the Internet offers the ability to allow me to change fonts and contrast so I can read more easily with my limited eyesight. So, I guess I will have to go with the Internet.

The internet is faster when I haven't much time but you can't beat the pleasure of a good book.

I finally loaded up the Kindle with classics. There are days when holding a book open is more than I can manage.

Change fonts and contrast? Hmmmmm......interesting!

I prefer books when reading for pleasure. I don't quite like reading off a screen.

I like to do research on the internet. I find that I retain a lot more info when I see it online.

Browsing around a book shop and finding a good book you didn't previously know about is a pleasure and helps live authors. You can't get quite the same experience on the internet. It tends to bring up recommendations for you, rather than you browsing randomly.

If you love Classics, reading or downloading them free from the internet is the best of both worlds.
