I've read the Harry Potter series 7 times. How many times have you read it? Post some replies!

About 11. Only read the Deathly Hallows 8 times, seeing as it was released later.

3 times total, but read 4-7 in two weeks, just in time for the 8th movie

Once. I don't read many books more than once. There's too many new books on my shelf that I haven't been able to read yet.

I have read the series twice, but my friends in Colorado, a married couple, have read it so often I have lost count.

I've only read the entire series completely through 1 time. However, I've read my favorites multiple times. I've read Book 1 a few times. Book 2 I only read once (my least favorite). Book 3 I've read a couple dozen times (my favorite). Book 4, Book 5, and Book 6, I've read straight through once, but I go back and read my favorite parts over and over. Book 7 I read twice. The first time I was in England, and borrowed by cousin's copy, written in Queen's English. The second time I read my own copy, in American English, instead of studying for a structures exam.

I've read the entire series through 3 times. The older books I've read more often as I tended to re-read them just before a new book came out.

Ceistenna, I did the same as you. Now I am into listening to the audio, over doing chores or beading...

I've read the first four many times; Order of the Phoenix a few; Prince at least thrice; and Deathly Hallows twice. I haven't read any of them for a couple years. There's that phrase "So many books, so little time." That's me, trying to keep up with all the books I want to read, so re-reads are not as common as they used to be, though I'm re-reading "I Capture the Castle" now.

Three times all of them, more the earlier ones as I re-read them before the last 2-3 came out!

I stopped counting when I got to my tenth reread. Although now I only read them in the languages I'm learning so that I don't feel too guilty about wasting time :)

I've read the series three times. the second and third reads were to pick up on details for quizzing purposes and for comparison with the film differences.

@Reynariki: I also stopped counting. And I like the idea to use it to learn another language.

I stopped counting as well. The foreign to me language idea is great. Hmmm, how brave can I be?
