Subject: Help with the Bard

I am in need of THE book which is considered the authority on all things Shakespeare. It has cross references to quotes, characters, themes etc. of all of his works.

Sadly, I cannot recall the title. Surely one of Funtrivia's members is an expert in Shakespeare and will be able to offer a suggestion.

Maybe you should try "The Oxford Companion to Shakespeare."

Thank you so much Daver. I will check that out tomorrow.

I went to the local Library today to ask the Research Librarian, and was sad to find that they do not have a full time researcher anymore. How sad.

The most comprehensive guide is perhaps "A Complete Concordance to Shakespeare" but it's a very heavy book and I've just looked it up. It's expensive too.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Concordance-Shakespeare-John-Bartlett/dp/0312156456

There is some other free guide here http://www.opensourceshakespeare.org/concordance/wordformlist.php?Letter=A&pleasewait=1&msg=sr
