I read about this today. Thought it was 'pretty' funny. Never heard of her though. Can anyone from the UK enlighten us?

I don't get it. She looks like a waitress I once had at the Cracker Barrel in I-95 exit near Brunswick, Georgia.

This is still featuring on news/chat shows here in the UK and I, too, just don't understand it! All credit to her for having so much belief in herself and her *attributes* but I don't think she should inflict this on the rest of us!

She's a nice looking woman for her age but appears to be a little delusional, or she hangs round with some very insecure women.

Talking of insecure women, after my initial reaction to the article (who the heck is Samantha Brick, and is she sure about the too beautiful bit) I realised I have read some of her articles before.

Her OH monitors her weight

He is obviously a very selfless man, as he appears to have completely neglected his own body in order to do this!

I've also read articles where she's said he has taken charge of her wardrobe as well, and tells her what to wear. The overall picture is of a woman with a lack of self confidenc, who is worried about her looks fading, and who was so desperate to nab a man that she would rather be married to an unattractive control freak rather than remain single.

Oh boy, she must have issues to be with such an obvious plonker...

Old saying about people in glass houses not throwing stones......I always thought you married someone for the person they are, not just the body nature has given them to walk around with.

Oh please! She's not even all that great looking, she's average at best! She's so full of herself & she needs to be brought down a couple notches to cold, hard reality! LOL! XD

I'd say it's an Erika Roe moment, a woman who wanted to become a celebrity, and rather than taking her top off at a rugby match worked out a way to capture the gutter press's attention without actually saying or doing anything original or creative. Of course that is a talent in itself (look at how much PR consultants get paid) so in a way is a good method for those with absolutely no genuine abilities to join the Z list and have their day in the spotlight.

Women (or men for that matter) who call themselves attractive never actually are.

That is surely down to individual assessment, rather than a blanket fact. Most people are attractive to somebody, as a friend, lover, etc.
I 'spose, 'tho, if they were being honest 'Attracts flies,' might be more appropriate.

Guess I missed the whole point! I thought this woman was goofing on the general public, and I found myself laughing out loud! She's a trip!

Turbotude, I'm also of the opinion that this woman is putting us all on! For one thing, her looks are average, that's quite a puffy tummy, and her feet are too big! She has to be taking everyone for a ride, just to see what reaction she'd get.

I know exactly how this woman feels. I can hardly go out in public without hateful, envious stares from other men :)

Question - Is delusion contagious?

callie_ross, I have to agree with you. Samantha Brick is not even that great looking. At the best, she really is just average looking. Nothing to make other women jealous.
