Yes, but that goes back to me saying that not all conferences are created equal. Who in their right mind would say that a two loss Stanford is more deserving than a one loss Alabama? Got to keep things in perspective and look at the entire picture. Just because a team wins their conference, that does not give them the right to win a championship.

And don't forget about Nebraska in, I think it was 2001, who got to play for a championship but finished third in the conference. I'm not saying the system is perfect, but winning a conference title isn't all you make it out to be. Duke could win their conference. Would you allow them to play for a title while keeping one loss teams out?

If Alabamas's record was put up against Stanford or Oklahoma State, Alabama would be the most deserving.

I still hold by my thought that if you're not the best in your Conference, then you shouldn't be in the Championship game or Playoff. Your logic that Alabama should be in there as well is sound, but I think a variety of conferences in the playoff is better and the best thing for College Football in general.

From the ACC as I referred to in my earlier post, I would still have Florida State in the Playoff.

Bowling Green ended the final chance for a Cinderalla story in the BCS this year as they took down NIU last night.

If you want all the deserving conferences in the tournament, then it has to go to eight teams, with no more than two teams per conference. Using this season as an example, it would be easy to fill the brackets, assuming FSU can do the impossible and beat Duke and Baylor and Oklahoma State win today.

Florida State
Auburn/Missouri winner
Ohio State
Michigan State
Arizona State/Stanford winner
Oklahoma State
Baylor
Alabama

I mostly agree.

I would have to disagree with Baylor at this moment.

I would take Clemson over them right now, even though the polls have Baylor ahead of them.

Years ago I put my thoughts on a playoff system on the boards, I think I had it as an eight team playoff, with Conference Champions going to the playoffs and if a conference didn't have a conference title game, they would have to play another conference champion from a non championhsip game conference to get in, and there were some open wild cards in there too.

This is so easy to remedy. I don't understand why the NCAA doesn't do this. The idea of super conferences was thrown around but never realized. Seriously, it is this easy:

Pac-12 - USC, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, California, Utah, Colorado, Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, and Baylor.

SEC - Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Mississippi State, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, South Carolina, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.

Big 10 - Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, Purdue, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Penn State, Indiana, Illinois, Northwestern, Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas, Kansas State, West Virginia, and Iowa State.

There we have it. Three super conferences. Three conference winners and five at-large bids.

That would work from my point of view.

Much of the BCS table seems to be set now.

Orange Bowl - UCF vs Oklahoma State (?)
Fiesta Bowl - Baylor vs Oregon (?)
Rose Bowl - Stanford vs Michigan State
Sugar Bowl - Alabama vs Ohio State (?)
BCS Championship Game - Florida State vs Auburn

If Baylor and Oregon do play, the over/under could reach 90.

Not that accurate on my BCS Bowl predictions.

I am surprised they moved Oklahoma ahead of Oklahoma State, but the Sooners have a bigger fan base and more name noteriety.

The Rose Bowl should be another good grind it out game.

Let's give some love to a school no one really talked about this year. The Utah State Aggies, they went 9-5, but 2 of their losses were to Pac-12 teams, 1 to a solid BYU team and 2 divisional games, one of them the Conference Championship game. They were a TD away from winning the Mountain West Championship game against Fresno State, the only team they lost to that didn't make a Bowl game was Utah and Boise State may have been the lowest ranked team they lost to all year. They capped off their season with a huge bowl win agianst 23rd ranked Norther Illinois.

What have we seen so far in this Bowl Season where it's always a question of how much effort each team is prepared to put on the field and how well teams can look when more healthy after a few weeks off.

USC showed up after thier tumultuous season to finish with 10 wins, Fresno State were vying to be the next great non automatic Conference team lost to USC, lost 2 of their last 3, but won the Mountain West Championship to have something to show for a great year. Colorado State had the comeback of the Bowl season scoring 18 4th quarter points to top Washington State in a shootout, San Diego State handled Buffalo and Louisiana-Lafayette topped Tulane. East Carolina who can be a bit Jeckyll and Hyde, were Jeckyll against Ohio. Chris Petersons old team didn't fair well against a good Oregon State team, his new team faired better against BYU. Pittsburgh finished a strong late season with a win over MAC Champion Northern Illinois. Utah State made their pressence known with an authoritative win over BCS hopeful Norhtern Illinois, who lost their last 2 games of the season. Marshall bounced back and beat Maryland in their home state. Syracuse suprised a good Minnesota team and after not winning a Bowl game from 2002 - 2010, Syracuse squeaked into Bowl eligibility and has won 3 Bowl games, 2 of them the New Era Pinstripe Bowl, in the last 4 years, not making a Bowl game in 2011. Notre Dame looked sluggish in the first half but turned it on in the 2nd half to beat Rutgers and be the first non-Big East/American Athletic Conference team to win the Pinstripe Bowl in it's 4 year history. North Carolina smashed Cincinnati in an ACC/AAC match-up, while Louisville returned the favor to ACC team Miami destroying them. Kansas State looked nothing like last years team early in the sesaon, but finished strong and topped Michigan for the Bowl win.

AAC - 1-2
ACC - 3-2
Big 10 - 0-2
Big 12 - 1-0
C-USA - 2-1
Ind. - 1-1
MAC - 0-4
MWC - 3-2
Pac-12 - 3-1
Sun Belt - 1-0

Match-Ups so far:
Pac 12 - MWC - 3 (2-1)
AAC v ACC - 2 (1-1)
MAC v MWC - 2 (0-2)
AAC v Ind - 1 (0-1)
ACC v C-USA - 1 (0-1)
ACC v MAC - 1 (1-0)
ACC v Big 10 - 1 (1-0)
Big 10 v Big 12- 1 (0-1)
C-USA v MAC - 1 (1-0)
C-USA v Sun Belt - 1 (0-1)
Pac-12 v Ind - 1 (1-0)

Correction
Northern Illinois shouldn't be noted as MAC Champion, but as a top 25 team.

Double Correction, ignore last correction, and Pittsburgh beat MAC champion Bowling Green.

That stings.

Credit to the National Champion Florida State Seminoles.

The defensive front line of Florida State especially.

I don't think anything happened as predicted in that game, except for the result, but it was far from the rout many thought.

Been an FSU fan for over 20 years, so it's nice to be on top again, finally. Agreed that the game didn't go as expected in any sense, but the finish was fantastic. Auburn played one heck of a game.

Life is strange.

Not sure why I felt the need to do this, but it's being done.

Don't message or reply to this directly for at least a week, let it set in, any notes in the first week have to be disregarded, and there is a purpose to that.

People try to avoid their weak points and past mistakes, or not see things, or themselves for what they are.

I am overall, a disappointment to people, not on purpose, I just tend not to be wise enough to be what I should. I have a tendency to make the mistakes others find unforgivable and don't do the positive things in the right way for them to have a good effect.

My thoughts were clearer earlier this morning, but they are going to come out jumbled now.

Am I good son - no
Am I a proper husband - no
A good grandchild - no
Have I done drastically bad things to my health - too often.
Have I used my full capabilities - not even close.
I tend to create chaos around me, when that is the last thing I want to do, mostly due to going about things in an out of the ordinary way.

My help is rarely needed, so I end up in a situation where people do much more for me, than I could ever payback.

There are just realities of who I am, nothing drastic will happen, this is an everyday thing for years, so please don't worry.

Perhaps more to come later if I am clearer.

Do not reply or send notes, as stated above, there is nothing wrong, just freeing my mind I guess and although there is nothing positive up there, I have accepted these things, and have yet to find a way to change them properly. That wisdom will come one day I hope.
