Subject: Nelson DeMille's "The Jaguar"

I'm a fan of his works and have read quite a few really good ones along with the occasional clunker. I was about to pick it up at the library and saw it was almost 700 pages. Some of his others are well over 500 pages too and wound up being well worth the time. Before I decide to invest a bunch of time on this one, I wondered if anyone has read it, and how you would rate against his other books. Thanks.

Isn't it another sequel to the several thrillers about that terrorist he and his wife were chasing? I haven't read it either, but it's on my requested list at the library.

My apologies...it's "The Panther", not "The Jaguar" and it appears to be what you thought:

Anti-Terrorist Task Force agent John Corey and his wife, FBI agent Kate Mayfield have been posted overseas to Sana'a, Yemen—one of the most dangerous places in the Middle East. While there, they will be working with a small team to track down one of the masterminds behind the USS Cole bombing: a high-ranking Al Qaeda operative known as The Panther.

Oh, good. It ought to be coming into my library fairly soon, because they've ordered it. I like those John Corey novels, and I seem to remember liking the first one (Plum Island) best.
