Subject: Remembering Gracie Sharpe

Posted by: ElusiveDream
Date: Aug 19 13

On August 13th, 2013, a little Australian girl, Gracie Louise Sharpe, should have celebrated her 11th birthday. Sadly, she never even lived long enough to see her 2nd.

In March 2004, less than a week after murdering his pregnant wife, Anna, Gracie's father, John, took a loaded spear-gun & fired no less than 3 spears into Gracie's tiny head. He then dumped the bodies at a local tip.

Two months later, after making a televised appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of his missing family, John finally confessed to the murders & was sentenced to 33 years in prison.

Let us all take a moment to remember this little girl & her unborn brother whose lives were cut terribly short.

I looked up this murder on line, because I hadn't heard about it. This was a horrible, gruesome crime. ElusiveDream is being kind to those reading this thread, in not describing the brutality of these murders.

Little Gracie was just 19 months old, killed a couple of days after her mother, who had been pregnant with a little boy. Gracie's father basically decided that his first child was too much trouble, and certainly didn't want another. Let's just say, the murders were not 'quick and clean'.

Hopefully, if he is still living, he will be denied parole. He sounds like a true 'nutcase'.

Dear Elusive Dream, why must you post such awful news on these chatboards? It's horrible stuff to take in and it's not why I come to FT. I get enough of that on the news which I don't watch anymore anyway. I wish I hadn't clicked on the link. Can you please be mindful of that before you post. Thank you.

MiraJane - unfortunately, the one, and only, family member who needed to be annihilated still breathes.

It's always the fault of someone else....according to these takers of life.

Three beautiful people we never get to meet.

I prefer to think, and post, of them.

Rest in peace...

Barbarini, Dream needs to be mindful that someone might click on a thread they find, after the fact, to be objectionable and Dream should post accordingly?

That's a boggle for certain.

Not trying to be rude, but maybe these boards aren't for you then. People can post pretty much any topic they want, as long as it's not about religion or politics. If the moderators think a certain thread needs to go, then they will take care of it, it's not up to us to decide. Back to the topic of this thread now: I hadn't heard about this & it is a horrendous crime. Unfortunately, this kind of thing has happened one too many times before. May those who were murdered rest in peace. :(

The reason I started this thread (and wrote my 'Little Lost Angels' quiz) is because I don't want people to forget Gracie or any of the other children whose lives have been cut tragically short. They may not be with us anymore, but these kids have the right to be remembered.
