Well with 80 something wins I am closing in on the Butterfly level now. Its a great game and so unpredictable but frustrating when you get all of them right and are beaten by a miserable 2 points :( Reply #81. Apr 03 15, 11:40 PM |

How do you take a mulligan? I play on my iPhone. Does it have to be done on computer? Reply #82. Apr 04 15, 2:08 AM |

I haven't seen a mulligan. I believe, although I may have misunderstood, that you only get one if the game fails to load properly. Some players have had problems with their fancy phones. The thread in the forum has more details. Reply #83. Apr 04 15, 4:09 AM |

It's worth noting the achievements of daBomb619, who is on 144 victories so far. Quite astonishing consistency! Reply #84. Apr 04 15, 7:21 AM |

My crowning achievement in this game thus far has been to carefully avoid ever facing dabomb ;), and it isnt like I just hid in the corner until the screaming stopped. On several occasions I was actively playing whilst he was flattening his daily 15 victims. Reply #85. Apr 04 15, 8:03 AM |

Don't jinx yourself. It will probably happen, eventually. There is some sort of algorithm that determines who gets matched against who that is somehow based on "overall skill level", however that is calculated. Regardless, daBomb belongs in the highest skill level by anybody's reckoning. Reply #86. Apr 04 15, 9:55 AM |

Namrewsna - very funny!! :) How to take a Duel Mulligan: If your Mash quiz reloads, or stalls and you need to start again, the starting (introduction) page that comes up contains text explaining that your quiz will incur a penalty. When you see this, if you carry on and play the quiz you will only be awarded 50% of the score. Text -- https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8746/16411455683_793e96eff9_c.jpg The first two times this happens in a week, you get a mulligan -- the text says something slightly different - it says that it is waiving the penalty. When you take the quiz you will be awarded your normal score. So in order to use the Mulligan, you don't have to click a link, it just comes into play automatically, but you are informed. It is not like the "expert" game Mulligan, by the way, it does not replace a previous score. It only works on a quiz that you have not yet finished. Reply #87. Apr 04 15, 10:35 AM |

I think it should work on phones -- it works on my tablet. Reply #88. Apr 04 15, 10:37 AM |

Jellyfish says: "It's worth noting the achievements of daBomb619, who is on 144 victories so far. Quite astonishing consistency!" Just par for the course for daBomb, perhaps the most astonishing player on FT. LOL Namrewsna. Mira has beaten me a couple times; all the rest have been by people I don't know. I read up on the algorithm and just assumed myself to be far too lowly a lifeform ever to be noticed by the great daBomb. Reply #89. Apr 04 15, 11:10 AM |

I felt bad when I beat you, Cat. We never know who we are going to be up against. However, it is unlikely I will ever be matched with the awesome, yet humble, daBomb. I'm no where near his skill level. There's maybe 2-3 people on this site that are. Reply #90. Apr 04 15, 12:38 PM |

Don't feel bad, Mira. I was surprised to find you assigned to the kiddy table, actually. I only have 57 wins and I'm not going to be proceeding very fast through the levels. BTW what's with the obsession with crime and criminals? The category seems to be a fixture. Reply #92. Apr 04 15, 3:09 PM |

I always start with the categories I think I am worst at and work my way up to the ones I like. If I happen to win something like "Cricket," it's a morale boost, and if I lose, well, I thought I was going to lose anyway. Reply #93. Apr 04 15, 3:11 PM |

That's logical, Dave. I just plough straight down the column. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't get up the nerve to play two thirds of them at all. Reply #94. Apr 04 15, 8:47 PM |

For some reason I have been waiting over an hour at least for an opponent in The Matrix, while seeing at least 3 duels completed after that. Are they waiting for someone with a better score than me? I know a couple of the people matched up after me and I hadn't had them as opponents yet today and they score at least as well, if not better, than myself. Reply #95. Apr 04 15, 9:19 PM |

As far as the mulligans go, I should have gotten one today, but I didn't, getting the 1/2 score instead. I don't know if it was because I was playing on the I-pod Touch or not. As a point of full disclosure, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. I still would have lost by about 20 pts. even with a full score. Oh well, D. Reply #98. Apr 05 15, 12:39 AM |

Despair, I don't think the mulligans were working correctly today. Why? It didn't work for me or two other people I know either. Yes, I know. This is a topic better raised in the Forums. But I'm tired and don't feel like posting there. Any volunteers? Reply #99. Apr 05 15, 12:52 AM |
