I would read a story entitled, Angels of the Sea. It just sounds pleasantly interesting. Reply #1. Apr 27 15, 10:35 PM |

I like "Bound to Nature" best because I get the sense of what the story will be about but it still leaves that bit of curiosity. Reply #2. Apr 27 15, 10:44 PM |

Since very few people seemed to be interested in helping me choose a title for my new story, I've randomly selected one. My new story will be called 'Angels of the Sea'. Shown below is the storyline: Once a month, teenage Selkie sisters, Rani and Pania, are allowed to visit the beach to dance in the light of the full moon. On one such occasion, Rani's seal-skin is stolen and she's trapped as a human. Will Rani ever find her skin and return to the ocean? Reply #4. May 03 15, 6:07 PM |

According to selkie mythology, she is bound to whoever stole her seal skin. Bound to as in she's now the housekeeper, child care worker, seamstress, cook, etc. if a male stole it & he marries her, she cannot return to the sea. If they fall in love & she finds her hidden skin, she cannot see the human again. Any children born of a selkie and a human will also be selkies. Reply #5. May 03 15, 7:05 PM |

How much of this story have you written yet? Reply #7. May 05 15, 1:15 AM |

Haven't started yet (still deciding what the opening line will be). Have three other stories yet to be finished, but since this one now has characters, a storyline and a title, I'll have to start writing it soon. Can always go back to the unfinished ones later. Reply #8. May 05 15, 7:53 PM |

So you know ahead of time that there will be ten chapters? I don't know how much help you can get since we don't know what happens in each chapter. Reply #9. May 23 15, 8:57 AM |

I actually like the Song of the Sea because of all the "S" in the title I think it would have been eye-catching. I wonder if you could use Selkie: Song of the Sea or Selkie: Son of the Sea. Otherwise I would go with Child of Nature Reply #10. May 31 15, 10:06 AM |

Lost and beached That could be the first chapter. Reply #11. Jun 07 15, 8:21 AM |

Before deciding on chapter titles, you need at least a basic story outline. A mini chapter outline will help to focus what the chapter is about & might give you chapter titles. Or you could do what Dickens did in some books: Chapter One, Chapter Two, etc. Reply #12. Jun 07 15, 10:54 AM |
