First thing I saw this morning on the computer. Set the tone for the whole day. He was a great boxer and a role model. He will be missed. R.I.P. Reply #5. Jun 04 16, 11:00 PM |

The silence of some of our fellow FTers is deafening on this matter. Reply #6. Jun 11 16, 6:26 PM |

Boxjaw: I was thinking the same thing. I thought there would be a lot more responses about the death of such a great man & American icon like Muhammad Ali. Reply #8. Jun 11 16, 11:05 PM |

I too, am amazed at the lack of response to this thread, I would have thought that boxing fans would have had something to say about this great man. I, as previously stated am no boxing fan but this man was someone you could not ignore and he has left a lot of great memories of his life. Reply #9. Jun 12 16, 2:47 AM |

Greatest boxing personality ever IMO . Great boxer too . I was lucky to have been around to see a few of his fights when they were on TV ( live ) . He lost a few but who doesn't . One of the greatest sportsmen of all time . Reply #11. Mar 30 17, 4:03 AM |

A sporting genius who Boxed like no heavyweight before him. Even Bruce Lee admired Muhammad Ali and copied elements of his boxing style. But he was more than a sportsman. He stood by his principles even at great loss to himself and apparently he was a very generous man, especially to very poor people. And also worth mentioning was his personality and wit. He could hold an audience in the palm of his hand, he was intelligent and funny. Reply #12. Jan 14 19, 6:56 AM |
