Yet another senseless and tragic murder of an innocent child. I sometimes wonder how the people who commit these crimes can live with themselves and I hate to think of the pain and sadness Vera's friends and family had to experience. R.I.P Vera Reply #2. Jun 08 16, 7:29 PM |

Lesley: I found this as sort of an explanation to your question: "Rush was never officially charged with the murder of Vera Page. No eyewitness accounts could place him with Vera on the day of her death, and no chemist could recall having sold bandages to Rush. Though his movements were never verified, Rush claimed that on 14 December, he had finished work and immediately travelled to Kensington. He died in 1961."
