If its a boxing match (no feet) then Mayweather has a massive advantage,,,,no contest

Mayweather should breeze it, mcgregor needs to totally adapt his style. He may have had a chance against an ordinary boxer but this is Mayweather. I actually see Mayweather stopping him inside 6.

I'm still intrigued to see it though. Hats off to everyone involved for making it happen and to the two guys. Both have a lot to lose although I guess you could say Mayweather probably has the most to lose if he somehow loses the fight it would really tarnish his legacy.

Mcgregor not being a world class "boxer" and Mayweather being one of the best defensive boxers of all time, gotta go for mr money

Maybe this will be like Ali v a wrestler many many years ago - the wrestler to save getting punched spent most of his time on his back on the floor , a very odd match up that one was - basically kicking out at Ali .
Logic says Mayweather will win easily , MacGregor as a MMA or whatever , I don't know much about , boxing I do know about . MMA to me looks quite crude at times , the little I have seen , if McG gets lucky and lands , who knows , but Mayweather has made a career of not getting hit . Seems a bit gimmicky to me .

These things - you never know. McGregor is a hard puncher and can take a lot of punishment. Mayweather is coming off a very long layoff. Would not be surprised if McGregor does better than expected.

Floyd Mayweather defeated Conor McGregor by TKO in the 10th round.

The fight lived up to all the hype & then some.

Never in doubt. As daver said you never know in that game, occasionally there is a shock because all it takes is one lucky punch but in this contest between these two I would say 1 in 1000 for mcgregor landing fight ending shots on mayweather and he would never win it on points.

Well done for both guys for doing it, the money was ultimately too much for mayweather to turn down and magnitudes more money for mcgregor than he makes in UFC but both had the chance to look very foolish if things went wrong.

Have you ever noticed how few Irish boxers there are nowadays? They used to completely dominate the sport 100 years ago, but now they are few and far between. Do you think this is because of lingering prejudice against the Irish?

Not hardly. I'm one white man who knows from personal experience why blacks and Hispanics dominate boxing in today's world, and I loved every minute of it. I was only a teenager and would have probably wound up getting murdered sooner or later if I had stayed with it into adulthood. Especially since I would have been fighting as a light heavyweight in my late teens and as a heavyweight from my mid-twenties onward, which was right about the time that guys like Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield were having their heydays. I loved that adrenaline rush but I've never been suicidal, at least not in that regard. I also happen to be Irish, but that's beside the point.

Other than that, McGregor had a lot of guts to fight Mayweather at Mayweather's own game. Wonder what the outcome would have been if it were the other way around? Of course, we all know that will never happen in a million years. Don't think anyone would want to take responsibility for the premeditated murder of Floyd Mayweather.
