Hello hello hello!

You're probably contemplating your options for QuiWriMo right now. Hopefully this can spur some interest if you're just not sure of a direction to take.

We've done this before. What you do is you post either a letter you'd like your quiz to start its title with or you can post a category you want to write in. In turn, you'll be supplied with the option you didn't pick, at random. (So if you decide you want to write in Video Games, you claim that category, but you don't get to choose the letter you start with.)

As always, the quiz you write can not be for any other challenge or Commission here in the Lounge though you may, by all means, use your quiz for TRIC or Adventures in Authoring or Ascension. You may also claim more than one letter or category if there are any available (max 20 letters since there are only 20 categories) but you can only have one quiz active at a time. When your quiz goes online you can take another.

Kyle, I only see 18 categories listed - Literature and Religion still missing. Your last list of what was left did not include Literature - is it still missing, or have you not posted it in the header?

I am trying to brace myself for the final category, and happy that I can write in either of those without too much pain.

You're right-- I thought General wasn't a thing. It is. It's Literature and Religion.

Our remaining letters, in alphabetical order, are B-C-E-I-N-O-W-X.

I believe Kyle is correct. I am overloaded with quizzes. I regret to drop this title. I had talked with player cowrofl (David). He will be happy to write a quiz on Religion starting with 'W'.

I thoroughly enjoy your Bible quizzes. I have a request for you.

There is a forum called the Authoring Lounge. In one of the challenges (Trivia Scattergories 4), I had picked up Religion and W. Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to write that quiz.

Can you go to the lounge and claim that? What you have to do is write a quiz in Religion. The starting letter has to be 'W'. I am very confident you are the best person to write such a quiz.

If you are interested, do let me know. You can then claim the title in the Authoring Lounge.
I am sure you have ideas for many Bible quizzes, which you planned to write. Making the starting letter in the title 'W' should be easy.

For the record, I did a Bible quiz based on the letter 'W' a number of years ago with FunTrivia. I suspect there is nothing wrong with doing a second quiz providing all the questions are different.

However, when I went into the author's lounge, it would not let me claim the quiz challenge as it had already been assigned to you.

It's not a big deal with me. I am very happy to carry on doing what I do as I am definitely not into quiz writing for the sole purpose of acquiring badges and the like.

For future reference, there's no need to find someone to take up challenge titles to replace dropping out. Had this been freed up a couple of days ago, I would've used it for my Globetrotter quiz.

I have no issue with David taking up the challenge, but I don't want to normalize the idea of reserving spots for other people. It kind of takes away from the whole 'first-come-first-serve' thing. For some challenges, I have lists of people waiting to sign up. It's kind of lousy that I can't really deliver for them. It's kind of why I'm here-- to facilitate.

You cannot pass your challenges on to others - they don't work that way! It is possible to release your challenge, by posting here or contacting kyle directly. I would be quite disappointed to see that happen here, as my category and letter allocation was premised on me taking the last unclaimed one!
