Dagny...I had pre-ordered it from Amazon. I'm not sure if the fact I'm a Prime Member get's me toward the top of the list, but they ship my copies on the official release date which is set by the publisher as you likely know. I can still recall when I first read To Kill a Mockingbird. A friend and I were on a weekend fishing trip with her parents to a remote cottage. I started reading it in one of those Reader's Digest abridged collections which used to have about five books in them. Quickly realized I didn't want to read the abridged version, so put it down and waited until I got home and was able to get the full version from the library. Reply #56. Feb 10 21, 11:15 AM |

(One of the funniest first lines I've read in ages) I was walking three powerful rottweilers, but I was pretty sure they weren't really to blame for my being pulled down the street like a drunken water-skier behind an erratic boat. --- Death By Chocolate Lab by Bethany Blake (For those of you who may be curious, here's the second line: No, the dog at fault was a three-pound, one-eared Chihuahua with bulging eyes and a severe overbite--which he was applying, every few steps, to the bigger dogs' hind legs.)
