This is the place to tell all of Fun Trivia what your weather is today or was yesterday. It doesn't have to be extreme, although extreme is...well, extreme, just tell us temp, precipitation, wind, lightning, hurricane, cyclone, monsoon, typhoon, tornado, flood, heat, cold, all of your weather related phenomena. Nothing is too mundane. We pray that it isn't too extreme, as in extremely dangerous!
I am a certified severe weather spotter here in SW Ohio. I would love to find out about weather around the FT World.

Thank you!

Wow, that would translate to 117.14F. I feel bad for you, that is just miserably hot.
Thanks for sharing!

Well, you probably know that I live in what they call "tornado alley." I have lived around these parts for about 43 of my 55 years, and I have never seen a tornado other than on film. Hope it stays that way!

As for the weather today, I don't think it ever got above freezing. Been getting down into the teens at night and up into the high 20s and low 30s during the day lately.

I've seen, up close and personal, 2 tornadoes and a waterspout.

Living in Australia, I've experienced extreme heat on a number of occasions, but I've never experience extreme cold. According to the weather app on my phone, it's currently -28 in Edmonton, Canada. I hope the people living there have plenty of warm clothes.

Ever seen the movie Twister, Mark? That scene with the cow flying by and going "moo" really gets me. Like you would be able to hear the cow when you are in the middle of a tornado! I realize this is fiction, but my God. Who wrote this into the movie and how can anyone possibly be that ignorant?

Here on Fun Trivia, we get the whole weather scene, 117*F in Australia and -28F in Canada.
Here in SW Ohio, it has dropped about 35*F in the past 12 hours and it's still dropping.

Rained all day. Reached about 60 F ... unusually warm for NY in January. However, we are being told that temperatures are about to become more January-like, beginning tomorrow.

Postie,

Your tomorrow is here today for us here in SW Ohio.

Hey, Postie McToasty!

Let me ask you something, Mark. This has always fascinated me. The earth spins at roughly 1,000 m.p.h. and that includes the atmosphere moving that same speed right along with the earth. What is it that keeps the atmosphere moving right along with the earth itself? Is it gravity, I suppose? Can't think of what else it could be.

Hi ya, Kev! Yes, I would assume gravity.

33 F and falling. But! no snow :-D

Newton claims that it is friction that keeps the atmosphere spinning along at the same rate as the body of the Earth.

When I first moved to CO, I saw a funnel cloud forming, and I pulled over to watch it, but had no clue I was supposed to report it, immediately. It wasn't close, but it was close enough. I was just completely awestruck, and not in a good way.

Running for the basement bathtub with my kitties and couch cushions to play the "Hide! Hide!" Game wasn't fun, and we did it far too often. Wildfires were also terrifying every summer.

And now I'm trapped in Gloomy Gloomville with no sign of the sun in a few weeks now, and snow on top of snow on top of snow.

The weather outside is more than frightful.

But there is no way I would survive 117 degrees. I could never cool down.

It's 9*F here, snow on the ground, but it's not currently snowing.
How is it in your neck of the woods?

I have got all my fingers and toes crossed that it will be warm enough for me to actually go get a load of laundry done today. It has just been too cold lately for me to make it from my apartment to the laundry room without having unbearable pain in my hands, and of course, I have to have my hands to move my wheelchair. Can't wear gloves with fingers on them because I can't get enough grip that I need on my hand rims to move my chair. I am right on the verge of having to wash things out in my bathroom sink, and on top of that, I can only carry one load at a time. Oh, I have lots and lots of fun and never-ending challenges, believe me! :-p
