Did anyone see yesterday's Port Adelaide v Adelaide game?

Paddy Ryder to Robbie Gray ruck combination is a thing of beauty.

Can't think of a better way to celebrate 21 years of rivalry between these two teams than those last 50 seconds.

As they say...one for the ages.

"Tis a sweet thing when thou Porteth vanquish thou Adelaideth"
(Shakespeare)

I'm always happy when the Crows get thumped. 91 points. Can't wait to take the mickey out of all the Crows supporters I know. I might even start immediately and send a few text messages. Bliss!!

Final score: 146 to 55

Doing very well with my tips this week, got every winner so far. All I need now is for the Roos to win.

Current score Dockers/Roos game: 43 to 42, Dockers lead.

Another awful display by Port. Their players need to go back to basics and learn how to kick a football. Their passing to team mates is too erratic, as is their form. The final margin was flattering, Hawthorn should have won by more.

Maggies had another fantastic win this week and the game raised thousands for a good cause: helping to fight and find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.

Yep, loved all the coaches getting involved, very poignant. I get the feeling though that MND is one of those horrible ailments where no amount of money will help find a cure. I hope I'm wrong.

Looks like the Crows are in all sorts of trouble. And I hope it stays that way for many years to come.

Still not convinced about Port despite the win against Richmond. They're just as likely to lose against the Bulldogs tomorrow night, wouldn't surprise me.

Why aren't the Bulldogs called Footscray anymore? That's always puzzled me.

Apparently, the Dogs changed their name to market the club to the broader community. I know the Swans used to be called South Melbourne until they moved to Sydney.

Yes, level on points with Port. It's turning out to be an interesting football season. Two very winnable games for both teams next Saturday.

Maggies v Suns next week. I'm just glad we didn't lose to Carlton yesterday. It would have been very embarrassing if we had.

Hi Elusive
I think the Essendon v Collingwood game next Sunday will get 90,000 plus attending. Both teams in great form, both teams have tons of supporters. Will you be there?

Halftime in Essendon v Collingwood. Another potentially good game spoiled by incredibly bad umpiring. Too many dubious frees. It better improve in the second half.

Set shot misses were costly for Essendon. Momentum swung the other way, Collingwood finally got on top in centre clearances. Umpiring leaves a lot to be desired, every week, no matter what teams are playing. It's almost ruined football as a spectacle.

Still think Richmond will win the big one.

Maggies have another good win, we're back in 2nd spot. I agree the umpiring was a bit questionable at times, mostly unpaid marks.

And inconsistency with incorrect disposal ruling.

The two rules that need to be sorted out properly are the deliberate out of bounds and the advantage rule. They seem to pay advantage all the time now, even if the opposition players have stopped still. The deliberate out of bounds is a joke. The umps haven't got.a clue, it's almost always not deliberate but it gets paid as such.

Oh well, not to worry, Crows lost, Port won, Crows are outside the eight, Port will surely play finals. That makes up for everything.

We got off to a good start last week, then fell in a hole. Going to the game this weekend, let's hope we have a good win.
