Yeah I didn’t think about jury management and how X let everyone else do the dirty work. It really does look like a Derek/Cody scenario. I gotta give X props for that. One day Ky will look back on it and regret it, unless by some miracle he wises up.

OMG...I fell asleep before the veto comp...what happened??? What was it? Who won?
Anyone but Ky won, and I am assuming that he will be going home next eviction.

I just got done watching last night and tonight’s episodes. The veto comp was the one where they have to say what day something happened. Like, “What day did the oven catch fire?”. How the heck do they remember days? I couldn’t even tell you what day I last had steak for dinner, lol. X won it, which surprised me. It was down to him and Big D. I thought he would throw it to Big D so he wouldn’t have that blood on his hands. No sense in getting Kyland mad and potentially vote emotionally against X.

Oh as for the game, it was the teeter totter thing where they had to stack balls and not have them fall out or else they’d have to start over.

Well, Kyland was not happy, I though there would be a fight when he was leaving. He really could not believe that he was voted out of the game. I wonder who he will vote for in the finale. He is VERY upset at Derek and especially X.
Azah is in the final three. If Derek wins (anything) he will probably pick her, and I am sure she will pick him for her final two if she wins. As Derek commented, he did not want to see someone who stayed in their room the entire game, made no decisions, only won one thing, had made no enemies because she did not have any power, win the game.
It's X's game to lose. If he doesn't win HOH or veto, I think they will vote him out because he would win by a landslide.
Do you think if Azah makes final two that people would vote for her? I don't think anyone respects her game, such as it is, but so many people are ticked at the two guys. I wonder if Kyland will fill them all in on X and how he actually controlled the game.
Kyland learned a good but expensive lesson today. He was so self- assured that he would win, he was determined to take X to the final two. Kyland, please note, never let your ego make decisions for you. Also, how you feel right now is how everyone whose eviction you orchestrated or supported, felt at being played. As you said to them, "it's just a game. Hope we will be best buds outside the show! bye!!"
X is not taking any chances, why would he when he can take one of 2 people who basically did not much or nothing. Between the two of them they won one challenge.
So far, this has been not very exciting. There could have been a list drawn up of order of evictions and just ticked off, one after the other. Yawn. When there is a large group controlling the game that is usually what happens. I kept waiting for something, anything to happen, shaking up the house. I guess at final three it is too late for that now! LOL!
The only exciting thing left is, who will win America's favourite?
Probably no one who is not on the jury ( no one remembers them!) I am thinking Not SB, Not Kyland, Not Azah, ...possibly Derek X?

I agree with all of what you said. Ahah doesn’t have a prayer with anyone she sits next to. I think the guys would take her, because after all they want to win the 75,000. Yes, Big D doesn’t want a non-participant to even get second, but I think he will wise up and realize that he can’t be X. My guesses are that Xavier would take Big D, because he can beat either of them and he knows Big D deserves second. I think the other two would pick each other.

I don’t know why Ky got so mad. I do think he was going to stay true to his word and take X, because he thought for sure he would beat any of them. On one hand, I think a Ky/X finale would have been more exciting, because it wouldn’t have been a unanimous vote. My kids and I are being sort of mean that we are rooting for a Big D/Azah finale just for the shock value, lol.

I think America’s vote will be Derek X. My son thinks Big D will get it. My guesses for top three will be Derek X, Big D, and Tiffany. Love or hate her, she played the game well and deserves some money.

Oops, 750,000 prize (not 75,000, lol). And Big D can’t ‘beat’ X, (not ‘be’ X), lol. Although yeah, he can’t be X either, lol.

Last night I watched Friday's show and Sunday's show.
Friday was the scripted "trip down memory lane" show, which as usual was a snore.
Last night wasn't much better. The first half hour was just the three remaining players giving long diary room speeches on why they are the very best person to win. Nothing we haven't heard constantly the entire season.
The first part of the final comps was the only new thing in both of the shows.
Gee, I wonder who won. Let's see.
First we wait for Derek (complete with diary room updates on how he was gonna win, blah blah blah) to fall off. Check.
Then we wait for Azah (complete with diary room updates on how she was gonna win, blah blah blah) to fall off. Check.
Gosh, then X wins. Check.
Well, at least when Derek and Azah face off, one of them HAS to win. LOL!
Maybe Derek will get his first win and he can brag how he waited till he really needed to win, to perform, ignoring the fact that there was only 2 people playing, with only one win between them for the entire show.

So the only thing left is who will take to the final two. I agree with your kids, I hope Derek or Azah wins the final contest and take each other. Now THAT would be hilarious! Then we get to watch the jury pick one.
I wonder if Kyland has calmed down. He was so upset at being voted out.
It will be interesting to see who the jury will vote to win the money.
As for America's Favourite, well, I can't vote. However, I think it may be Derek X. or Tiffani. She seemed to pick up some popularity as the show went on, and arguably was the best player of the game.

I just watched Sunday’s show today. I was very hopeful that Azah was going to pull it off. She looked solid. It would been great to see Xavier get his ego bruised.

The third HOH is really a crap shoot since it is always questions where you guess how the jury answered their phrases. I wonder how they will do. Both X and Big D would probably do well, because they had good social games and seemed to hang out with the others more. We’ll see.

I’m going to my daughter’s tonight and watch the finale. I’m not feeling good, so I considered just going tomorrow. But my daughter wants me to go watch with her.

I can’t believe Big D tried to claim that he created The Cookout. The look on Tiffany’s face… I said, “Well we know how she’s voting”, lol.

I figured X would win, so I wasn’t surprised. I wanted Derek X to win the favorite, but Tiffany also deserved it, so I wasn’t too upset.

Ky trying to cover up the way he exited the house… Geesh does he think America would actually believe him?

All in all, I was pleased with this season. They didn’t get a cast of all pretty people just wanting to find a showmance. They also got a cast that have actually watched the show.

I still think they need a season of all the first evictees. They didn’t get a chance to play and it would be great to see how they would have.

Oh, and all season (including Azah’s eviction), Julie kept saying air hugs for social distancing. But at the end, she had no problem, lol.

I wish I saw this thread earlier in the season because I would've joined in. I noticed it about 3 weeks ago and you 2 were doing such a great job that I didn't want to interrupt your flow. Anyways I am a huge BB fan and have watched every season. Looking forward to chatting with you next summer. Or maybe in February for Celebrity BB.
Take care

Welcome, Breelj! You should have joined on in. We love company. :)

Almost every season we have been chatting about the show, but the last couple seasons we didn’t get around to it. I’ve never seen the celebrity version, but perhaps I will join in this time. :) Who knows, I might like it and wish I watched since the first season.

OMG...so sorry to wait so long to post!!!

So, I did start to watch it, and, of course, fell asleep. I made it to the comp between Azah and Derek, and oh my, what a surprise, Azah won. I probably could phrase that as "Derek lost." Then I had to listen to Derek say how hard this challenge was, the hardest of all the challenges...yada yada yada. I sometimes wonder if they reused the same tape over and over again with him saying that for every single challenge this season. After that, I had to listen to Azah run on yet again about how she HAD to win the challenge with her and X or she was out. She knew she would win it, she felt it. (I, for one, didn't feel it) There was no way she was losing.
Okay, so then I fell asleep. I woke up to X having just won. Yawn.
Fell back to sleep.
Woke up when they were waiting for the final vote. It appeared that X took Derek to the final two. Yawn.
Vote counted (I missed the speeches and the jury questions, sounds like that was the most exciting part). X won, 9 to zero. Tiffani won the people's choice.
So even though I missed most of the show, It went exactly as expected. I was hoping X would take Azah (there was absolutely no doubt he would win the final comp) and at least that might have shaken things up a little. I thought she perhaps would garner the female vote, at least from Brit, Hannah, and Tiff. But X, not being a fool (unlike Kyland), took Derek. He wouldn't risk any votes by taking Azah. After all, what was to stop the jury from voting in the first Female black player?
So, my opinion (and I do have one LOL!) is that as far as seasons go, it was kind of boring. Every vote and eviction was planned so far in advance, just another tick on the scorecard. I was hoping for a shakeup...even a teeny one...anything really. The closest we got was Kyland being evicted. He just could not actually believe that he was evicted. Him. Kyland. What?? I wonder if he finally realized that X would have beaten him anyway. X would never have risked any votes lost to Kyland, he was the only one left with any sort of a "resume" for the game. The other two, well, one apparently slept the entire season and one didn't win anything at all.
I was so tired of hearing the same speeches over and over AND over again.

I do feel badly for the first evictees. After all, it was their dream to play BB and they never had a chance to do that, so a re-invite to another show may be in order.
As for celebrity BB, I do believe that I saw one or two of the shows a few seasons ago, it wasn't very good. A selection of B list...nope probably C or D list "stars" (reality show "stars") who were basically clueless and basically full of themselves.
I don't know, maybe I am being too harsh!!! Hopefully it has improved since then.

So now, like Azah, I am going to take a nap. Cheers!!

Oh, and welcome Bree!!

Jasa and I have a great time hashing out the shows, I always feel that it is just the two of us writing and reading the posts. It's always a surprise to find out that anyone else has read them! LOL!!
Please join in the next season, the more the merrier!

I love your “yawns”, lol yeah the finale was pretty predictable. You thought Azah might have gotten some of the female votes, but I think this season had true fans and didn’t vote emotionally. They respected who actually played the best.

I loved the cast this year, but I agree that a lot was predictable and not many surprises or drama. I think this season was all about making history and no real game play happened. In interviews (elsewhere) several of the Cookout members said if they weren’t on that mission they would have played differently.

See ya next season or maybe Celebrity BB! :)
