Does a musical TV series work for this challenge? Reply #1. Oct 19 23, 12:05 AM |

If it does work, I'll add "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers" (1978) in the Television category. Reply #2. Oct 19 23, 12:11 AM |

I'm sorry for the double posting, but can I use an existing title from one of my own previous quizzes? Reply #3. Oct 19 23, 12:15 AM |

Repeating titles should be avoided - better to modify it slightly, so it is unique. (Kyleisalive needs to rule on whether the title works.) Reply #4. Oct 19 23, 1:58 AM |

For what it's worth, my original idea that I sent to Kyle was for using strictly titles of Tony Award-winning stage plays and musicals, with the quizzes being about something other than the original play/musical that inspired the quiz title :) Reply #5. Oct 19 23, 5:42 AM |

The 8 plays and 8 musicals that are the listed titles above are all Tony winners :) Reply #6. Oct 19 23, 5:48 AM |

Repeating titles should be avoided where possible. This said, your previous quiz appears to be on the same topic (the miniseries)? Making two quizzes on the same topic with the same name from the same author might look a bit odd. Reply #7. Oct 19 23, 8:30 AM |

I misunderstood the prompt. Can I still do the challenge on "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers"? Reply #8. Oct 19 23, 9:03 AM |

I can't find a play or a musical with that exact title. I'd suggest that you pick one of the titles listed if you want to take part. The idea of the challenge is to take a title and use it to create a quiz which is nothing to do with the play or musical which inspired the title. Sleuth could, for example, be used to write about television or film detectives. If I've misunderstood your intention, sorry. Reply #9. Oct 19 23, 11:26 AM |

Ohh, I get it, Rossian. I so misunderstood the prompt. Thanks for clarifying it, and I guess I'll need a while to think whether I'm going to join this challenge. Reply #10. Oct 19 23, 12:54 PM |

To be fair, Kyle has said that a very small number can be about the play or musical listed but your suggested title doesn't seem to fit that requirement anyway. I'd rather have the challenge of creating something new. I've actually thought of an idea while writing this note. Whether it sees the light of day remains to be seen, though. Reply #11. I have an idea for 'West Side Story' which did win a couple of Tonys, but not the main one. It was nominated, though. Reply #14. Oct 20 23, 6:18 AM |

I'm going to claim a Wildcard slot for "Next to Normal" to be one of the 4 quizzes that's actually about the play/musical. Similar to rossian, it didn't win the Tony for Best Musical, but it did win 3 other Tony's and won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Reply #15. Oct 20 23, 10:16 AM |
