And, we're live again!

Special thanks to the newly appointed Tower Master Sergeant Lottie1001 for choosing this inspiring pair of songs:

BLOWIN' IN THE WIND

link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMFj8uDubsE

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, and how many times must the cannonballs fly
Before they're forever banned?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Yes, and how many years can a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
Yes, and how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?

Yes, and how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, and how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, and
how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?

TURN, TURN, TURN

link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4ga_M5Zdn4

To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn

And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones

A time to gather stones together

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late

The rules:

- Quotes must be full, exact words.
- You may change punctuation and capitalization and you can work across lines.
- Each title may be used only once for credit, but titles can overlap or you could even use a subset of a title already used.
- You can use any category or quiz format. You could even make a crossword if you want.
- You can participate via team and co-authored quizzes, but you need to submit a total of SEVEN questions over one or more quizzes to qualify for the badge (if two people want to evenly split a 15Q quiz, go ahead!). Or author one crossword, those don't have multi-author options.
- The challenge will be judged like any other title-based challenge, so your title must reasonably fit the quiz. This call is (as always) made by the editor who places your quiz online.

And, because it's all about , there's again a community challenge involved in this - it's about fully completing both songs. Repeated lines or phrases of course need to be covered only once. (I removed multiple instances of the chorus so we'll get a more exact progress count)

Conjunctions, articles and so on are free.

It's strongly recommended (but not required) that you claim your title before writing just to make sure no one else will use the same title. And please, before you write, check that you're not duplicating something another author is already working on.

The challenge is open until the end of the year - you must make a first submit within 2024. You can of course do more than one title if you wish to help with the community aspect, but there's no tiers on this - you get it for one quiz just the same as for ten.

And the badge you can earn looks something like this:

Given the current situation in Germany with the rise of Neo-Nazis, I will claim "A time you may embrace". Not sure what I'll do with it, but it calls me.

I'll take "How Many Seas", which will probably lead to yet another nice Geography quiz :D.

Can I have 'A Time to Dance, A Time to Mourn', please?

I'm taking a chance here: I'll have "A time to be born, a time to die". I have a very diffuse idea to work on for that title. If I get stuck, I'll return it.

I'll take 'a time of war'. It will be a while before I can do the quiz but I will finish it this year.

I have no idea what I will do with it, but "Turn, turn, turn" is calling me - and will cover several chunks at once. Unless each of those repeated bits needs to be done separately, in which case I will rescind this claim, and be more specific so that the other examples still have a whole line to work with - Wes, can you confirm?

Please may I claim "How Many Roads"? An idea popped into my head straight away :)

As usual, one quiz labeled "Turn, turn turn" will cover all instances.

And since we have no single or double "turn" in the mix, it will get rid of all "turn"s.

Also - while it would be possible to fragment the many "A time..." lines (and I won't rule that illegal), it would be preferable to have them as full titles - it will just give the much nicer scavenger in the end!

If it makes it easier for everyone, I'm happy to claim the whole "How many roads must a man walk down". It won't affect what I want to do. I just didn't want to seem greedy :)

This looks great! Can I claim "a time to kill, a time to heal"?

I'd like to try "Yes, and..." if I may. It might end up as a crossword, though I'm not sure yet.

I will definitely use "Turn, turn, turn" - which leaves it open if someone later wants to use a single "Turn" to get into the action.

If I may, I will do "A time for every purpose under Heaven" - it will be in literature.

#11 I was just about to ask this, Wes. I actually thought of TWO ideas for quizzes, one for each half of the line. Is it ok for me to split the title up into the two quizzes, or should I use the whole line as the title, and make it a two part quiz?

I'm getting on better than I thought I would with the quiz I've already claimed. If it's possible to have two titles at the same time, I'd like to claim 'That too many people have died'. I only need the last four words but can take the whole line if that helps the communal effort.

I'll take "There is a season".
