Subject: Project Codeword

Posted by: trident
Date: Mar 23 24

In this game, the host will start with a secret topic (“codeword”) in mind. The host will then post a fact about that secret topic. Players will try to guess what that codeword is by submitting single questions to the queue.

Here are some rules:

1. The host will post one fact at the beginning of the game. After two guesses, the host should then post another fact to help players narrow down their options.

2. Players must submit their single question to the queue before making a guess. You may guess twice in a row as long as the host has responded to your first guess.

3. The host has the final say over whether or not your codeword guess is accurate enough.

4. The player who guesses correctly becomes the next host.

I will host the first round. Here is our first fact:

1. This is a woman who became famous historically.

So, do I have to write a question about my guess before I can guess?

Yes, please submit your single question (which will match the topic of your guess) before you post it here.

I'm a little confused how this game works as well. Are we trying to guess a historic woman (i.e. Marie Curie) or a codeword that relates to a woman historically (i.e. Bloomer)?

I submitted a question on female Russian athletes so I'll post a question once I know how to frame it, haha.

Apologies for the unclear instructions!

"Are we trying to guess a historic woman (i.e. Marie Curie)..."

Yes, my codeword is a historic woman. You should write a question about a historic woman, then put that as your guess here.

If not Trident's suggestion and presuming its also not Manuel Chorizo from "The Chorizo Killers" is it Newt Scamander (question submitted on him)?
