You should be able to fix it from the 'Old Editor' template. Reply #1. Apr 20 24, 5:35 PM |

I also turned my most recent adoption (the one I used to get the April painting) from MC to Collection. In order to do so, I went through the painstaking process of deleting each question, copying the answers and part of the II in a Word document, and getting rid of anything I did not want to use in my quiz. Though it did take a while, it made things much easier later. In any case, when I adopt a quiz I always make sure to delete everything I don't want to use before I change the format. Reply #2. kyleisalive, submitting the quiz is not the problem - but when I was editing it, I could see an original 'answer' in Q1 when using the old editor. I got error messages whenever I tried to delete that and save, or put it online as is. I also tried changing the format back to a traditional template to I could see what might be stuck somewhere, and got the error message. I finally gave up last night, and will try again this morning to see if I can find a workaround. LadyNym, that is what I do, and what I would recommend to anyone planning on a change of format, especially to Collection, Fun Fill It or Sort formats, which don't have separate slots for each 'question' to be entered. I have managed to get the quiz online, but anticipate possible issues still exist. I started by copying the planned new quiz to Word, so it could be replaced when I finished jiggling things around. Tried several things in both old and new editors before something opened up. All of a sudden Quiz Preview in the new editor showed me all of the original 15 questions, and I was able to delete two of them before they all disappeared again. But that was enough so Q1 could be restored and it could be placed online. But the original Q/A/II for the rest of the questions are still there somewhere I cannot locate. Reply #4. Thanks everyone, especially LT. I've made a note to clear it out next time. Reply #5. Apr 20 24, 8:37 PM |

Just be prepared for CNs when the ghost in the machinery surfaces. Don't worry about them, just pass on the details so we can help Terry sort it out. :) Reply #6. Apr 20 24, 11:14 PM |

I made this mistake once. A stray answer which I'd managed not to delete kept adding itself to the question and changing the format back and making other changes did nothing to help me find it. In my frustration, I tried changing it a match format - and there the culprit was, lurking. It would have been so much easier if I'd been more thorough in making sure I'd removed all the previous details! Reply #7. Apr 21 24, 2:34 AM |
