Ok, whats everyone reading now, and how are you liking it, would you recommend it?

I am re-reading Stephen Kings' "The Stand", I read it years ago as a young teen, and it went over my head, so I thought I'd give it another shot, now that Im older and wiser(?). Wish Me Luck! S.

Portrait of an Unknown Woman by Daniel Silva.

I had recently read a news story about what is the plot of this book. This is the first book by Daniel Silva that I read. I liked this book so much that when I finished it, I read it again.

That sounds promising, MiraJane. Just checked and it looks like it's part of a long running series featuring art restorer/spy Gabriel Allon.

Just finishing the 2nd book in Jan Karon's Mitford series: A Light in the Window. Quite a long series about a sixty-something priest and the goings-on in his small town. Not mysteries which are my usual fare, but humorous and fun reading.

Hi, Rubytops -sorry not to get back to you earlier (life gets in the way!). Yes, I read 'Surprised by Joy' ages ago. I love all of C.S. Lewis' books, from the Narnia series to the space trilogy to ...well, the entire canon! Did you see the movie 'Shadowlands', starring Anthony Hopkins as Lewis and Debra Winger as Joy? Beautiful film, sensitive and moving.

I'm reading "Bunny: A Novel," by Mona Awad. It's the age-old story of wanting to fit in and figuring out how to do it, of loneliness and isolation, but it's not a downer. How could it be when a group of upper-middle-class creative writing students magically transform bunnies into boyfriends who also serve as butlers? Not sure how it will all end up, but I'll stick with it because of the portrayal of the main character's solitude, and of the inventive language Awad uses.

I didn't mean to write a whole review. I guess I'm just trying to see if I understand the book at all!
