Crosswords

I cannot load crosswords. All I get is a blank blue area

As of now, crosswords require the Flash player which is not available on all devices; it is particularly missing on iOS. You can try getting the Google Chrome browser which has a built-in Flash player on some platforms - no guarantees it will work for you however. We will be phasing out the crossword Flash client with the currently ongoing design upgrade; if you cannot play crosswords right now because you cannot run Flash, the new client will fix that problem.

Crosswords load but I cannot enter any letters

We have had some reports of the crosswords stopping to respond, but we can't reproduce them - they seem to randomly happen to people, often after something (browser, operating system or Flash player) updated, but it always only hits a small percentage. I had the problem myself once and had the page open for an hour after while I was doing something else which I could enter letters (and other crosswords worked as well after that). You can try that. You might also want to try whitelisting Flash in your antivirus software; that can make a difference as well. We will be phasing out the crossword Flash client with the currently ongoing design upgrade; the new client should not have that problem any more.
