Author Biography: PJL

I recently completed a work assignment that required me to spend a significant amount of time in that gem of the Colorado Rocky Foothills affectionately called by some of its residents "The Republic of Boulder".

The mile remains one of the "Blue Ribband" events of Track and Field. The four-minute mile is still acknowledged as a "badge of entry" into world-class middle-distance running.
