Having seen the incident on video time and again, it is one of those horror stories waiting to happen - and with a sickening thud, it does just that. Waugh's nose was badly broken nose and Gillespie suffered a broken leg that would keep him out of the Australian side for the best part of a year.

Cricket on a Sunday has only become socially acceptable in the UK since the late 1960s - and even then, in the early days, there was a lot of opposition from churchgoers to a sport being played on the Sabbath. Difficulty: Hard.
