Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

'Making Our Dreams Come True' was the theme song for the sitcom 'Laverne and Shirley', however, it was referred to in the first season end credits as 'We're Gonna Make It'. The song was written by Charles Fox and the late Norman Gimbel in 1976. An unknown artist at the time, Cyndi Grecco recorded the song for an album and it was used as the theme for 'Laverne and Shirley'.

The chant at the beginning of the song, 'Schlemiel, Schlimazel' comes from Yiddish, the former meaning a clumsy person and the latter word meaning a continually unlucky person. 'Hasenpfeffer' is a Germen rabbit stew. Together, these words reference the show's lighthearted feel. In addition, the word 'incorporated' adds an additional fun element that is not meant to be taken seriously. The tune is a camp song, which was coined by the creators of the show. At the beginning of each episode, the two protagonists, Laverne and Shirley, walk down the street, chanting the song and setting the stage for an upcoming lighthearted, optimistic, half-hour show.
