Weissmuller won five Olympic gold medals and one bronze medal. After his swimming career, portrayed Tarzan in twelve films, a role he played in twelve motion pictures. Many other actors have also played Tarzan, but Weissmuller is by far the best known. Esther Jane Williams (August 8, 1921) was an American competitive swimmer and diver and movie star. Williams' movies were musicals that featured elaborate performances with swimming and diving. Williams was not an Olympic participant, she was really added to the list, because she fit. Michael Fred Phelps (June 30, 1985) is an American swimmer. He has won 14 career Olympic gold medals. Phelps holds the record for the most gold medals won at a single Olympics with the eight golds he won at the 2008 Olympic Games. Usain Bolt (August 21,1986) is a Jamaican sprinter. Bolt holds the Olympic and world records for the 100 meters at 9.69 seconds, the 200 meters at 19.30 seconds and, with his teammates, the 4x100 meters relay at 37.10 seconds, all set at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
