1. Where is Seamus originally from?

Answer: Ireland

We learn that Seamus is definitely Irish (as his name suggests) in "Goblet of Fire" where he supports his team. His birth date is not exactly known, but believed to rather be in 1980 than in 1979 (the range supported by being in Harry's class). He is a half-blood, with only his mother having been a witch. By the way, the first three movies give Seamus' last name as "Finnegan", but the spelling according to the books is "Finnigan".

Harry met the Weasleys at King's Cross Station on his first day of school. He did not know how to get on platform nine and three-quarters. It was at this moment he would meet his future wife Ginny Weasley along with his future in-laws Ron, Molly, Percy, and of course those jokers the Twins. Ginny wanted to say goodbye to Harry before he boarded the train but Molly stopped her because she was underage. Ginny chased the Hogwarts Express down the platform until it was out of sight. Harry did wave back to Ginny and the Twins tried to cheer her up by saying that they would mail her a toilet seat. (Fortunately they didn't because they were joking and Molly would not let them.) Ginny was very excited when Harry came home, even going as far as jumping up and down and pointing at him when he came off the train.

Professor Umbridge was appointed by the Ministry of Magic as Hogwarts' Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher in our fifth year ("Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"). All she did during class, though, was have us read an exceptionally boring book called "Defensive Magical Theory" by Wilbert Slinkhard. Later, she caught Harry attempting to use the Floo Network to contact Sirius Black, and tried to use the Cruciatus Curse on Harry. I tricked Umbridge into coming into the Forbidden Forest, where she was carried off by centaurs. Unfortunately, I nearly got us killed in the process.

This was only mentioned in the book. Harry walked into Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions while another soon-to-be Hogwarts student was having his robes made. While Harry had his robes made, they talked a little bit. It was Draco Malfoy, a blonde haired boy with a long face.
