Violet Mitla, who worked as a dental assistant, wasn't a fan of Jeopardy. We learn this on the first page of the story, when she waits until Jeopardy is about to start before going to the store for ice-cream.

He finds that he is unable to completely kick the habit, so he gives up the patches and only has a couple of cigarettes per day. This group of people who are neither smokers or non-smokers are the ones to see the Batmen. In true Stephen King fashion, the Batmen are not at all friendly.
