Crump and his wife enter the hardware near closing time and wind up getting themselves locked the the basement. This may be the funniest segment of the movie and Caesar is certainly at his frenetic best as he tries to get himself and his wife out. This involves sledge hammers, blowtorches, using a lift truck as a ram, and finally dynamiting a wall adjacent to a Chinese laundry. This was Gorcey's first appearance on film since 1956, and consisted of two lines. The film was the last appearance for Zasu Pitts, who played the switchboard operator, as she passed away shortly after the picture was completed.
