Alexandre Dumas (pýre) (1802-1870) was most famous as the author of the historical novels "The Three Musketeers" and "The Count of Monte Cristo". He also wrote hundreds of plays during his literary career. Honore' de Balzac (1799-1850) was a French novelist whose masterpiece was a compilation of a series of novels and short stories entitled "The Human Comedy".
