"Stayin' Alive" was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. It was number one for four weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 for The Bee Gees in 1978. It peaked at number four on the UK singles chart the same year. The Bee Gees were brothers Barry Alan Crompton Gibb born in Douglas, Isle Of Man, UK, in 1946, twins Robin Hugh Gibb and Maurice Ernest Gibb, born in Douglas, Isle Of Man, UK, in 1949. Between 1967 and 1997 they had 15 Top 10 hits on the US Billboard Hot 100 which included the nine number one hits, "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" (1971), "Jive Talkin'" (1975), "You Should Be Dancing" (1976), "How Deep Is Your Love" (1977), "Stayin' Alive" (1977), "Night Fever" (1978), "Too Much Heaven" (1979), "Tragedy" (1979) and "Love You Inside Out" (1979). From Quiz Whose Line Was It Anyway? UK Number One Hits 1978

Answer: Althea and Donna

"Uptown Top Ranking" was written by Althea Forest/Donna Reid/Errol Thompson. It was number for one week on the UK singles chart for Althia and Donna in 1978. It did not chart in the US. Althia Rose Forest and Donna Marie Reid were from Jamaica, they were 17 & 18 when "Uptown Top Ranking" hit the top in the UK. Although they released further singles and albums in the UK they never had another chart entry. "Uptown Top Ranking" was a re-write of "Three Piece Suit" by Jamaican singer Trinity, aka Junior Brammer. The BBC helped the record on its way to number one when it was playlisted. This meant it was placed on a list of singles to be played on BBC Radio 1. This happened even though many people could not understand the Jamaican slang words used in the song.

From Quiz One Word Title US Top Forty Hits of 1978

Although Neil wrote most of the songs on the album including "Desiree" he also recorded a version of The Beach Boys' hit "God Only Knows" and Joni Mitchell's "Free Man in Paris". The album also contained a solo version of "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" which Neil recorded with Barbra Streisand in 1979. Neil also had a television special called "I'm Glad You're Here with Me Tonight" in late 1977. "Shilo" was a 1970 single. "Missa" was an album cut from Neil's 1970 "Tap Root Manuscript" album. "Dreadlock Holiday" peaked at number 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a number one on the UK singles charts. The song was taken from their album, "Bloody Tourists" which was the first track on the album. Other track from the album includes "Tokyo", "Take These Chains" and "Reds in My Bed". Three other singles were released by the band in 1983-1984 and 1995, the latter being "I'm Not in Love" (Acoustic re-recording), first recorded in 1975. Peter Beckett, a guitarist from Liverpool, met fellow musician John Charles Crowley at a Hollywood party. They realized that they had similar musical tastes and decided to form a band.
