Answer:
Played in Atlanta in January 2000, Super Bowl XXXIV saw the St Louis Rams defeat the Tennessee Titans 23 - 16. The Rams made the Super Bowl final again in 2002 but lost and have since relocated to Los Angeles. The Titans have appeared in only this final both in the period covered by the quiz and up to the time of writing (2025). 2001 saw a win for the Baltimore Ravens who defeated the New York Giants 34-7 in Tampa. The Ravens won again in 2013, playing in New Orleans and defeating San Francisco 49ers 34-31.
Super Bowl XXXVI, in 2002, was won by the team that had a big run of success in the Super Bowl during the period of this quiz. New England Patriots defeated St Louis Rams in New Orleans by 20-17. The Patriots won again in both 2004 and 2005, lost in 2008, before returning to winning ways in 2015, 2017 and 2019, having lost in 2018. The 2019 win was against the Los Angeles Rams, who were originally the St Louis Rams. 2003 saw Tampa Bay Buccaneers as winners in their only Super Bowl appearance of the period, defeating another team with only one Super Bowl, this time as losers, in Oakland Raiders. The game was played in San Diego and ended 48-21.
We skip forward to 2006 when Pittsburgh Steelers won the first of their two Super Bowls which fall in the timescale of the quiz. The second came in 2009. The 2006 match, Super Bowl XL, was in Detroit and the Steelers defeated Seattle Seahawks 21-10 while the defeated opponents in 2009 were Arizona Cardinals in their only Super Bowl appearance between 2000 and 2020. Super Bowl XLI, played in 2007, saw another different team with the Indianapolis Colts overcoming the Chicago Bears 29-17. Played in Miami Gardens, this was the only Super Bowl for the Bears during this period.
2008 saw the New York Giants defeat the Patriots in Glendale, Arizona - the score was 17-14. The Giants were successful again in 2012 in a rematch against the same opposition. The 2012 Super Bowl was played in Indianapolis and ended 21-17. Super Bowl XLIV matched New Orleans Saints against Indianapolis Colts in Miami Gardens with the Saints winning 31-17 in their only appearance during the dates set for the quiz.
Super Bowl XLV in 2011 saw the Green Bay Packers, who famously won the first two Super Bowls in the 1960s, claim another title by defeating the Steelers 31-25. The match was played in Arlington, Texas. Seattle Seahawks were the winners of Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 defeating Denver Broncos 43-8 at East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Seahawks returned the following year, but lost to the Patriots. The Broncos, though, made a winning return in 2016, winning 24-10 against Carolina Panthers. This game was staged in Santa Clara.
Philadelphia Eagles were the 2018 winners, against the Patriots. Played in Minneapolis, the game finished 41-33. The final match covered by the quiz came in 2020 and saw Kansas Chiefs win against San Francisco 49ers. Another match to be played in Miami Gardens, the final score was 31-20. If the quiz had continued beyond 2020, the Chiefs would have been mentioned quite a few more times.
The only incorrect option not already mentioned is the Atlanta Falcons, the losing team in 2017, becoming one of the teams to lose to the Patriots.
