Departing from a Pit Stop overlooking the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, Israel in the dead of night, teams were told to head to the airport in order to hitch a ride to the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka across the Indian Ocean. While some teams took a dodgy connection through Rome, others took a lengthier connection through Amman, Jordan. Upon their arrival, teams needed to go to the Gangaramaya Temple in the city to receive a blessing from local religious men and to receive their next clue.

Answer: Poland

Leaving a Pit Stop at Niedzica Castle in Poland, teams were given a clue telling them to fly to the city of Tel Aviv, Israel, thousands of miles away. Once they landed, they needed to find the Israeli Towers in the city's downtown core and take an elevator to the top of the tallest building to find their next clue box. The first flight out contained four of the teams and arrived in the city at approximately 1:15am. The second, containing a final team, landed at 3:00am. Teams were bunched up soon after.

Answer: Ice hockey

Early in the morning, teams commenced Leg 7 in front of Prague Castle in the Czech capital. From here, teams needed to make their way through the city to find the Dancing House. Once here, teams needed to look around the riverside for their vehicles for this leg, a series of old Czech sedans, some in lesser states of repair than others. Opening their clues inside, teams were told to head to the Zimni Ice Hockey Rink where they had to wear jerseys, skates, and gear before scoring a single goal on a local goalie.

Answer: Skydiving

In Leg 5, teams departed from the fourth Pit Stop of the race at the Addo Elephant National Park near Port Elizabeth, South Africa and boarded planes to their next major city, Cape Town in the western regions of South Africa. Once there, they needed to take taxis to Dolphin Beach on the Cape Peninsula. This was the Road Block. From here, both members needed to drive to a local airfield where one member would complete a tandem skydive and the other would remain at a landing spot with a flare. Team members completing this task included Matt, Tyler, Anastasia, Jeff, Alana, Dave, Renae, and Mo.

Answer: Food

In Leg 1, teams completed their Detour task in Lombok, Indonesia. This Detour, which occurred in a local marketplace, forced teams to choose either 'Cash' or 'Carry'. In 'Cash', teams needed to use a marked car to sell fifteen bowls of Bakso for 5,000 Rupiah apiece. Richard and Joey, Nathan and Tyler, Mo and Mos, Anne-Marie and Tracy, and Ryot and Liberty completed 'Cash'. In 'Carry', teams needed to balance a container of greens on their head and walk through the marketplace to receive their clue. If any member of the team dropped their container, both would need to restart. Sam and Renae, Matt and Tom, Dave and Kelly, Jeff and Luke, Chris and Anastasia, and Mel and Alana did this task. All of the teams then made their way to Malimbu Beach to catch a boat ride.

In the beginning of Leg 3, teams departed from the second Pit Stop in the Forbidden Purple City of Hue, Vietnam, and flew hundreds of miles to the island of Hong Kong in China. Here, teams needed to connect via taxi to Aberdeen Ferry Harbour and ride to the Jumbo Floating Restaurant. The task therein involved eating through over a thousand fortune cookies for one containing a message about their next clue. Upon reading this, teams would receive a Fast Forward opportunity taking them to Tin Hau Temple. Here, both members needed to shave their heads as part of Buddhist tradition to receive their next clue. Richard and Joey did this and headed directly to the Pit Stop.

Answer: Melbourne

In the first leg of "The Amazing Race: Australia", eleven teams touched down in the Melbourne Cricket Ground, exited their individual helicopters, and met with Grant Bowler at the race's starting line. He informed the racers that they would be heading on a trip around the world for $250,000 and that many of them would be eliminated on the way. As soon as Grant gave the word, the teams were already on their way, racing to eleven clue boxes on the pitch and ripping open their first clue--a Road Block.

After their ice hockey task, teams needed to drive themselves to St. Nicholas Cathedral Tower in Prague and ascend to the top of the building (which was once used as a spy post). At the top they had thirty seconds to locate and snap a picture of a man waving a race flag using a provided camera. If they were able to do this, they would receive their clue. If they took a picture of the wrong man or ran out of time they would need to return to the bottom of the tower and count all three hundred and four stairs to receive their next clue. Sam and Renae and Dave and Kelly were the only ones to pass the challenge.

After the Road Block, teams drove to Nobel Square at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town to encounter the first Intersection of "The Amazing Race Australia". Here, teams joined together to complete their next task which involved picking up a trailer from Kargo Warehouse in Cape Town, then driving a list of items to the Intyatyambo Orphanage in Khayelitsha. The joined teams were Matt and Tom and Chris and Anastasia, Tyler and Nathan and Jeff and Luke, Alana and Mel and Dave and Kelly, and Sam and Renae and Mo and Mos. After making their emotional delivery, teams were no longer Intersected.

In Hue, Vietnam, teams chose between 'Carry Fowl' and 'Carabao'. In the former task, teams traveled to Bang Chicken Farm (cute name) and used carrying devices to transport a total of twenty chickens from the farm to a local marketplace. In the latter task, teams used a plow and a buffalo known as a carabao to search a large, muddy field for a race flag buried somewhere in the mud. Many teams opted to avoid this task after futile attempts at finding a needle in a dirty haystack, but Jeff and Luke and Chris and Anastasia finished it. Everyone else carried the fowl before heading along to a Road Block at Khai Dinh Tomb.

Answer: Lion

After the fortune cookie task at the Jumbo Floating Restaurant, teams needed to return to the mainland and take a taxi to the Walled City Park and complete the Detour. This allowed for a choice between 'Lion Dance' and 'Kung Fu Stance'. In 'Lion Dance', teams needed to dress up in a two-person ceremonial lion outfit and properly complete the moves involved in the dance. Alana and Mel, Chris and Anastasia, Anne-Marie and Tracy, Mo and Mos completed this one. In 'Kung Fu Stance', teams needed to complete a series of precise moves to the satisfaction of a kung fu master and the break six clay tiles to receive their next clue. Tyler and Nathan, Jeff and Luke, Dave and Kelly, Sam and Renae, Matt and Tom finished this.

Answer: Abseil

Opening their first clues, teams needed to select one member to complete the first Road Block task of the race. This task required that the particular member head to one of the many light towers surrounding the Melbourne Cricket Stadium, climb to the top, and abseil down to the bottom. The members who completed this task included Mos, Ryot, Richard, Mel, Tyler, Dave, Tracy, Renae, Jeff, Matt, and Chris. After this, teams needed to drive themselves to the airport and get themselves on a flight.

Answer: Specific years

After the Detour, teams headed to the Fort Railway station to catch a train to Galle, Sri Lanka at southern tip of the island. Teams required third-class tickets to travel with and because Jeff and Luke took second-class tickets they were penalized ten minutes at the train station upon arriving in Galle. Teams then headed to Gold Fort where they needed to unlock two chests; the first required the year of sri Lanka's independence (1948) while the second required the birth year of D. S. Senanayake (1884). After this, teams took a bus to the town of Ambalangoda, thirty miles away, to locate a mask store. Here, they needed to match an intricately-designed mask to a festival-goer to obtain their next clue.

After the Road Block, teams needed to travel to Tel Aviv by taxi in order to reach the region known as Old Jaffa. Once teams located the Hasimta Theater they found their next clue box requiring that team members split up. Each team member needed to answer a series of five questions about other teams in the race. Only when both member's answers matched would they be able to receive their next clue. These questions included: Which team's relationship do you most envy? Which team would be the first to lend a helping hand? If it came down to a foursome, which team would you pair up with? Which team has been the most strategic? Which team is most deserving to win?

Answer: 'Stack Up'

For the Detour in this half of the leg, teams needed to head to a Pilsner Brewery outside Prague to choose either 'Stack Up' or 'Stack In'. In 'Stack Up', teams needed to head into the product lines of the factory to stack two pallets-worth of boxes of beer, forty-five boxes each. All six teams completed this task. In 'Stack In', teams would've needed to go to the brewery's restaurant to eat a combined total of eighteen Czech sausages made with pig heads, tongues, hearts, and livers. None of the teams could stomach this one.

Answer: Nine

After the Intersection, teams drove onward to their Detour selections, either 'Guns' or 'Rosé'. In 'Guns', teams drove to the Valley Gun Club where they needed to launch clay pigeons. Once the teammates knocked a combined nine pigeons out of the sky, they could continue. Matt and Tom, Jeff and Luke, Nathan and Tyler, and Mo and Mos did this one. In 'Rosé', Chris and Anastasia, Dave and Kelly, Alana and Mel, and Sam and Renae headed to a local winery where they needed to bring a barrel to a vat of wine and fill the barrel using buckets.

Answer: Richard and Joey

In Leg 3, Richard and Joey finished the Fast Forward task in Hong Kong allowing them to skip all tasks and proceed to the Pit Stop. As such they never attempted the Detour, a choice between 'Lion Dance' and 'Kung Fu Stance'. In 'Lion Dance', teams donned a two-person lion costume, learned moves of a traditional dance, and performed it properly for a spectator to earn their clue. In 'Kung Fu Stance', teams needed to learn an intricate kung fu routine, then break six clay tiles to receive their clue. Alana and Mel, Chris and Anastasia, Anne-Marie and Tracy, Mo and Mos finished 'Lion Dance' while Tyler and Nathan, Jeff and Luke, Dave and Kelly, Sam and Renae, Matt and Tom completed 'Kung Fu Stance'.

After the Detour, teams were told to make their way to another ferry station to travel to the island of Macau, China. Once there, they needed to taxi to the Venetian Macau where they would be led to a dressing room. When they had garbed themselves in formalwear, they would be able to head to the baccarat tables where they would need to face off for their next destination. Every hand won would allow them to receive a lettered mahjong tile. Once enough were collected, they would be told to go A MA VILLAGE, their next location.

Answer: Indonesia

After the Road Block, teams were told to fly to Denpasar, an island in Indonesia, then to take a taxi to Lombok where they could sign up for one of three charter boats to their next destination, each leaving a half hour apart and beginning at 6:00am. In the morning, teams arrived at a fishing village and needed to search the area for their next clue (which was found in the netting of some shored boats. Next, teams made their way by taxi to Pura Lingsar Temple where they needed to run through a gauntlet in which rice powder was thrown at them. This resulted in another clue.

Answer: Sam and Renae

After answering their questions, teams progressed to Jerusalem Beach for a Detour task. In 'Find Unseen' (completed by Sam and Renae) teams needed to use a metal detector to search the sands for a key to open a nearby chest. The marked-off area contained many keys, only five of which would work. In 'Make 13', the other task, teams needed to play a local game known as matkot in which they had to volley a ball back and forth using paddles (at a specific distance). Once they paddled the ball thirteen times (combined) they would receive their next clue. Matt and Tom, Jeff and Luke, Nathan and Tyler, and Dave and Kelly completed this task.

Answer: Hourglasses

After the Detour, teams drove to the Atlantis Dunes outside of Cape Town and hopped onto some ATVs to search a marked area of desert. Here, there were fifteen baskets scattered on the course, three of which contained clues and the rest of which contained different hourglasses. Teams finding hourglasses needed to flip them over and wait out the time before continuing onward; one of these was a forty-five minute wait!

Answer: South Africa

In Leg 4, teams flew to South Africa and completed the Road Block at Kragga Kamma Game Park near Port Elizabeth. Here, Nathan, Chris, Tom, Jeff, Dave, Sam, Richard, Mel, and Mos all took a bungee jump down the side of the Bloukrans Bridge, 216 meters down. In Leg 5, teams remained in South Africa, but transitioned to the city of Cape Town where one member of each team performed a skydiving Road Block task. In this one, Matt, Tyler, Anastasia, Jeff, Alana, Dave, Renae, and Mo took the plunge.

Answer: Nathan and Tyler

In Leg 4, teams completed a Detour at Kragga Kamma Game Park choosing either 'Smash' or 'Bash'. In 'Smash', teams threw a club known as a knobkierie to break four far-away jars. Breaking all four would result in a clue, and it did for Tyler and Nathan, David and Kelly, and Matt and Tom. In 'Bash', Chris and Anastasia, Alana and Mel, Mo and Mos, Jeff and Luke, Sam and Renae, and Richard and Joey used tools to build giraffe feeders. After the Detour, teams had the option of using the U-Turn. Nathan and Tyler did this very thing, forcing Richard and Joey to return to the Detour to complete the 'Smash' task.

Answer: Sheep

Once teams took their taxis to A Ma Village, they found their Road Block clues waiting outside. This asked one member of each team to 'crack the animal code' and presented them with a puzzling series of clues. Using these, teams needed to properly order twelve Chinese lanterns, each with a picture of an animal of the Chinese Zodiac printed on the side. When these were in the correct order, they could head through the doors to the next Pit Stop. Mel, Tyler, Sam, Tom, Kelly, Luke, Chris, Anne-Marie, and Mos completed this one. Sam and Renae panicked during this task, opting to use their Express Pass to advance without finishing the Road Block.

Answer: 'Carry'

Reading their Detour clues, teams needed to take a taxi to Mandalika Market and choose either 'Carry' or 'Cash'. In 'Carry', teams needed to find a market stall and, balancing a basket of vegetables on their head, reach another stall elsewhere in the market. Sam and Renae, Matt and Tom, Dave and Kelly, Jeff and Luke, Chris and Anastasia, and Mel and Alana completed this task. In 'Cash', teams needed to use a marked Bakso stall to make a local dish and sell fifteen for a total of 5,000 Rupiah each. Richard and Joey, Nathan and Tyler, Mo and Mos, Anne-Marie and Tracy, and Ryot and Liberty finished 'Cash'. Following the Detour, teams were told to head to Malimbu Beach by taxi then hop into a boat and travel to Gili Trawangan.

Answer: Matt and Tom

After the Road Block, teams headed to the final Pit Stop at Independence Square in Colombo. Here, Sam and Renae and Tyler and Nathan were both required to take a twenty minute penalty for taking a private vehicle to a task, but this did not affect their placing. Sam and Renae placed first and their 'Marked for Elimination' statues became null and void. For their win, they received a $5,000 home entertainment unit from Bing Lee. In the end it was Matt and Tom, who stumbled during a frustrating Road Block, who ended up placing last. They became the final team eliminated from the race.

Answer: Dave and Kelly

After the Detour, teams were told to locate their cars in a nearby lot in order to drive to the next Pit Stop at the ruins of Masada, two hundred kilometers away in the Judean Desert. Matt and Tom were the first to arrive after a strong leg of the race. This was their second first place win of the race. For coming in first, they won themselves a $5,000 personal computer package from Bing Lee. After a long day and several wrong turns in the desert, Dave and Kelly were eliminated from the race in the field, unable to reach the Pit Stop. They became the seventh eliminated team.

Answer: Chris and Anastasia

After the Road Block, teams needed to make their way on foot to Grant and the mat located in the Church of Bones in the town of Kutna Hora. This structure containing over seven thousand human skeletons was not told to be a Pit Stop and when teams arrived they were presented with another clue and were told to keep going on the second half of Leg 7. Chris and Anastasia were the first team to arrive on the mat. Despite this they were not given a prize for their victory.

Answer: Mo and Mos

After the Atlantis Dunes task, teams drove back into Cape Town to the fifth Pit Stop of the race in front of the Rhodes Memorial. The first team to arrive was Tyler and Nathan, making this their second victory of the race. They won a $5,000 home entertainment system courtesy of Bing Lee for their first place finish. Pulling up the rear in this leg were Mo and Mos, who trailed the entire leg and were unable to overcome early setbacks. They became the fourth team eliminated.

Answer: $50

For the Road Block in Leg 6, teams headed to a medieval fair in Prague where one member of each needed to use a bow and arrow to hit a target (twice) with no more than forty arrows. If they hit the bullseye, they would receive $50 for use during the race. If they ran out of arrows, another team member would need to give theirs to them or they would need to take a four hour penalty. While Nathan, Chris, Dave, Matt, Luke, Alana, and Renae ended up stepping up to complete this one, only three of them won the $50 prize: Chris, Dave, and Luke.
