From Quiz "Age Of Empires II: The Conquerors" Expansion

Answer: Hand Cannoneer

Jaguar Warriors are fast infantry with moderate attack, but combined with Garland Wars, which gives +4 to infantry attack, they become a force to be reckoned with.

5. How many civilizations are there to choose from?

From Britians to Vikings.

6. How many men can you have at the maximum in a random game?

From Quiz "Age of Empires 2" (PC)

Answer: Over two hundred

Cheat units and converted units are limitless. You can cheat and convert your heart out.

7. Which civilization has a 25% faster attack for infantry units from Feudal Age?

From Quiz "Age Of Empires II: The Conquerors" Expansion

Answer: Japanese

Japanese have 25% faster infantry attack from Feudal Age. Their unique unit is called the Samurai. Their unique technology is called Karataputo which helps them to use trebuchets quickly. They also have the best fishing ships in the game with more hit points and better armour.

8. What do archers have an attack bonus against?

From Quiz "Age of Empires II: The Conquerors"

Answer: Nothing

Archers don't have attack bonuses, they just have long ranged attacks capable of killing enemies from a distance. They can also add attack power to guard towers' or castles' by garrisoning inside of them.

9. In "Age of Empires II" which victory is it if I was to defeat all opponents by destroying their empire, playing either singularly or as a team?

From Quiz Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion

Answer: Conquest Victory

A standard victory is where any player can win by either killing your enemies, controlling all relics, or by building a wonder. This allows the individual player to decide their own way of winning during the game. Alternatively you can choose before game play which victory conditions you want to win with. A conquest victory is different because you have to destroy your enemy by burning down all his buildings (except for - towers, walls, gates, relics, fishing ships, fish traps, transport ships, trade cogs, trade carts, farms and sheep) and kill all his military. Eluding your enemy is a good tactic here, especially if you set up your empire in different locations. This victory is available in "The Conquerors Expansion".

10. Unique unit: Berserk, Longboat; Unique technology: Berserkergang.

From Quiz Age of Empires II (PC)

Answer: Vikings

The Berserks are strong and fast units that heal themselves slowly. The Berserkergang technology speeds up their healing. As for the Viking Longboats, they're not that great, unless you can make lots of them, then they're just annoying.

11. What is the first thing you can upgrade a Knight to?

From Quiz Age of Empires II

Answer: cavalier

The next and best is Paladin.

12. What is the VDML's sole purpose?

From Quiz "Age of Empires 2" (PC)

Answer: scouting and "testing"

You can use it to scout because it is so fast. They can be used to test an opponent's strength.

13. What is the technology which gives Aztec infantry +4 attack called?

From Quiz "Age Of Empires II: The Conquerors" Expansion

Answer: Garland Wars

Garland Wars is the unique technology of the Aztecs. Because of this, all infantry, fully upgraded, get +8 attack for them. Drill is the unique technology for the Mongols, which moves their siege weapons 50% faster. Artillery is for the Turks, and Supremacy is for Spanish which makes their villagers quite strong.

14. What is the name of the technology from the market that makes the tribute fee to 0%?

From Quiz "Age of Empires II: The Conquerors"

Answer: Banking

Coinage reduces the tribute fee to 20%, Handcart makes your trade carts move faster, and Wheelbarrow makes your resource gathering more efficient (hold more and gather faster). It is only relevant if you have an ally though.

15. What would my villager do if I were to build a stone mining camp with a lot of gold in "Age of Empires II - The Conquerors Expansion"?

From Quiz Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion

Answer: Build the mine, and then mine the gold, depositing it in the mine

One of the new features in "The Conquerors Expansion" is that the villagers are now more intelligent. In "Age of Kings" they would build the mine and then stand there idly. In the expansion they will build the mining camp and then go straight to work mining whatever is close to the camp (either gold or stone). This was a bit of a trick question as stone mine and gold mines are one in the same.

16. Unique unit: Teutonic Knight; Unique technology: Crenellations.

From Quiz Age of Empires II (PC)

Answer: Teutons

The Teutons are my favorite race. Teutonic Knights, aside from being cool looking, are basically easy to make tanks. They are slow, but that can be rectified with some quick cavalry units. As for their technology, it gives castles a +3 range and lets garrisoned infantry fire arrows. A couple of closely grouped Teuton castles will mess up any invader.

17. How many civilizations have no crossbowmen upgrade?

From Quiz "Age of Empires 2" (PC)

Answer: One

The Spanish can't go past archers, so just throw in some conquistadors. If gunpowder replaces archers, the civ can be unstoppable.

18. For which civilization does the Arbalest, a unit in the archery range, cost 22 wood instead of 25 wood?

From Quiz "Age Of Empires II: The Conquerors" Expansion

Answer: Mayans

Mayans also have the advantage that their resources last 20% longer and their archers cost less. Walls also cost 50% less for them. Its unique unit is the Plumed Archer. Mayans are unable to domesticate horses.

19. How many of what resources does it cost to make a single Trebuchet?

From Quiz "Age of Empires II: The Conquerors"

Answer: 200 Gold 200 Wood

Trebuchets cost 200 Gold and 200 Wood and are made at the castle. They are highly effective against buildings and they are tied with Cannon Galleons for the longest ranged units. But you need them to be packed to move them and unpacked to attack with them.

20. In the "Age of Empires II - The Conquerors Expansion" manual, what is suggested as the first strategy you should focus on in the first few moments of game play if you are a beginner?

From Quiz Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion

Answer: Gathering food and wood

This is a recommended strategy and you don't have to use it if you don't want to. It is merely suggested for beginners in the "Age of Empires II" manual. You will need to create more villagers to stockpile your resources and the only way you can do this is by gathering food. You will also need wood to build houses as houses control your population limit. It is not recommended to gather gold and stone until you are in the Feudal age, as you don't need those resources till then anyways. You can't build walls and towers until the Feudal age, therefore you don't need stone. Upgrading is not possible without advancing to the next ages. Once you advance from Dark age to Feudal age, then it is beneficial to gather gold and stone as you use them for building walls for protection and upgrading your technologies. You can't build a castle until the Castle age.

21. Unique Units: War Wagons, Turtle Ships; Unique Technology: Shinkichen.

From Quiz Age of Empires II (PC)

Answer: Koreans

I've never used the Koreans, mainly because the War Wagons don't seem that useful. Their Turtle Ships can destroy other ships quite easily, but naval warfare isn't always necessary. Their unique technology add +2 range to Mangonels and Onagers, which is in no way related to the unique units, but moderately useful anyway.

22. What is it called when you have to kill the opposition's king and protect your own?

From Quiz Age of Empires II

Answer: regicide

23. What can't a cobra do?

From Quiz "Age of Empires 2" (PC)

Answer: honk

Even though it's a car, it can only make a vroom noise. It is an exceptional scouting unit because it goes too fast for someone to hit it. Even if it does get hit, it has 500 hp, so it's nothing to cry about.

24. This is the unique technology for Mayans, which gives +40 HP to its eagle warriors. What is this technology called?

From Quiz "Age Of Empires II: The Conquerors" Expansion

Answer: El Dorado

El Dorado gives +40 hit points to Eagle warriors. So when Mayan and Aztec Eagle warriors are differentiated, Aztec Eagles have more attack but Mayan eagles have more hit points. Eagle warriors are a special unit for both these civilizations as they are unable to domesticate horses.

25. What advantage do the Teutons' buildings start with?

From Quiz "Age of Empires II: The Conquerors"

Answer: Better line of sight

The Teutons' buildings start with +1 line of sight. This makes it so the Teutons' structures make more of the map visible than they normally would. This helps to see enemies that may be getting ready to attack you or to find your resources quicker.

26. How do you find your idle military units in "Age of Empires II - The Conquerors Expansion"?

From Quiz Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion

Answer: Use the COMMA key

It's as easy as pressing the COMMA key to find your idle military units as it rotates around each idle military unit, so that you can give each unit further instructions. Also instead of using the idle villager icon you can use the FULLSTOP key to find your idle villagers.

27. Unique unit: Janissary; Unique technology: Artilley.

From Quiz Age of Empires II (PC)

Answer: Turks

The Turks are the only main gunpowder civilization. Their Janissaries are more powerful hand cannoners, and the Artillery technology adds +2 range to Bombard Cannons, Bombard Towers, and Cannon Galleons. The down side is that it takes a lot of resources to research all the technologies to use all these gunpowder units.

28. What is the name of the expansion pack?

From Quiz Age of Empires II

Answer: the conquerors & conquerors

29. What is a relic cart?

From Quiz "Age of Empires 2" (PC)

Answer: a mobile relic

A relic cart is a hidden item. If a guy gets near it, it reverts to his player, and he can move it.

30. In the campaign of Barbarossa, which city of the Byzantine Civilization is seen, which is today called as Istanbul?

From Quiz "Age Of Empires II: The Conquerors" Expansion

Answer: Constantinople

Constantinople, in Barbarossa's campaign, is seen when Barbarossa marches through transport ships to the Hospitallers' camp. Constantinople, in accordance with the game, was a heavily fortified city with walls in all its campaigns. Constantinople is also seen in Attila the Hun's scenario with a few sea walls.
