Dante does face Plutonian in Mission 12, which is extremely similar in appearance to Tartarussian. However, Plutonian has more attacks and he can summon Agonofinis to help him out. Lucia also faces Plutonian in Mission 8.

This skeleton type monster is hanging from a bridge then turns alive and attacks. There are three types of these monsters. Some have swords, others have axes and the rest have shields. The -fini's are all the same but Puia is a bird.

This is almost equivalent to Dante's second fight against Orangguerra, except that Dante has to fight Homromsiras alongside the boss, while Lucia has to fight Puias alongside it. This boss has much more health than the boss in Dante's third Mission, which is the first time he fights this boss.

Could you even imagine fighting a bus! The vehicles you fight are the tank and chopper so no aeroplanes, lorries and SWAT Vans.

These are called Agonofinis and are one of the more popular demons in the game, the are not too powerful and they shatter into pieces when destroyed.

Dante faces three Infested tanks, and he has a long battle with just one infested chopper. You fight the chopper three times, but it never dies on the first two battles, it just flies away.

The Showtime message appears in red after you complete a selection of moves in sequence. You must not get hit if you want to keep the chain going, and the longer you hold the showtime message, the more red orbs spill out of the monsters no matter how small. The best technique is to press R1 and triangle after you do a combo, then Dante will either flip the enemies up, or stab them.

Noctpteran is one of the tougher bosses, as it often hovers above attack height, and the target automatically locks on to the larva. You can either attack it by flying towards it in devil trigger mode, or you can kill the larva and do a few cheap shots with long range weapons before the next larva attacks.

Tartarussian has blue stuff running through him while Plutonian has red. These guys are easy to take down due to their lack of speed.

These are found inside the airplane in Arius' HQ. These weapons are superb against the Savage Golums and slow moving bosses, they also increase your devil power guage magnificently!

These are: Electro, Aerial, Quick, Offence, Flame, Healing, Chrono and Frost. These are found throughout the game, some have to found to progress further like the Aerial Heart, and others are just an increase in power or speed.

After going through a lot of trouble to open the door, Dante activates the switch in the room behind the door. Then he falls into a strange 'hole' in exiting the room and fights a tough boss. Dante must love this mission.

Geri and Freki are the servants of Belverk. They hardly ever stop moving, but they do stop to howl now and again. When they do, introduce them to your blade. One technique is to keep airborne and keep shooting at them to build up your Devil Trigger, then pound them with sword or magic!

Finding all four power sources, with both characters, is quite hard to do. Some of them are tucked into very hard-to-find places, and there are an awful lot of demons to fight, although you can choose to ignore them.

These little keys are found on the higher floors of the evil skyscraper and are inserted in the doors with the lions etching on them to release the evil power, allowing Dante to get in!

The boss splits into three elemental heads at the start of the battle. The 'Ice Head' (light blue) has three attacks, a long range ice missile attack, an icicle attack, where icicles fall onto the platform you are stood on, and a close range 'cold breath' attack. The 'Lightning Head' (purple) has two attacks, a close range 'circle of lightning' attack, and a long range thunderbolt attack. The 'Fire Head' (red) has two attacks, a close range flamethrower attack, and a long range attack which involves fireballs that track you like missiles. That totals to seven, but the boss has one more attack in which the three heads combine and the elements are combined to form a powerful beam which is very hard to dodge.

Griffin doesn't appear in this game fully so phantom must be 'the past' since he was the only boss to appear from the first game.

This is a very tricky fish boss on 'Must Die' mode. The best tactic is keep increasing your devil trigger, then open fire with it. There are not many tactics you can use.

The shotgun is on the motorbike after you destroy the multi-limbed sea creature Jokatgulm. The shotgun can also be upgraded to increase power, and once all the levels are fulfilled, this will become the fastest way of destroying multiple enemies in few shots.
