Dutch and Mickey cut off a large Covenant wave by destroying a bridge. They then eliminated exterior Covenant forces outside the ONI building, and then mopped up a few more of the ONI building's interior attackers. They were overrun, and therefore had to blow up the building with charges. They escaped via an NMPD Pelican Dropship, and picked up Buck's radio signal. He told Mickey and Dutch to meet at the police headquarters, and off they went.

Engineers, also known as Huragoks (Covenant name), are an artificial race. They are supposedly harmless creatures although in "Halo: ODST" they are rigged as suicide bombers. This engineer, Vergil, has now become a mission for Rookie and Dare as they must protect it from the Covenant.
