Wind Waker Trivia Questions

1. "The winds are blowing." Who said this?

From Quiz
Who Said What?

Answer: Ganondorf

This is his death quote. Earlier, he was speaking of how winds carried death. Link is a mute.

2. What is the name of the island Link lives on?

From Quiz "Zelda: Wind Waker" Wonder

Answer: Outset Island

Outset Island is where you begin your adventure on this game. Koholint Island is where another Zelda game entitled "Link's Awakening" (GBC) takes place. Mercay Island is an island where you begin the DS "Zelda" game "Phantom Hourglass". Bomb Island is another island in "Wind Waker" that is bomb-shaped and where a Heart Piece is earned if you beat a mini-game there.

3. How many islands (or island groups) are in the Great Sea?

From Quiz The World of the Wind Waker

Answer: 49

They are pretty much separated like a chessboard, one island or group in each of the 49 squares. As the story goes, 'The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker' takes place many years after the N64 game 'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time'. In that timespan, the land of Hyrule was inundated by a great flood, leaving only the tops of the tallest mountains to show as the islands of the Great Sea.

4. As you play the game a second time, Links sister Aryll is wearing a different dress. What color is the dress?

From Quiz Extra! Extra!

Answer: Purple

It is purple with white skulls on it. This is the same dress she is wearing at the end of the game. It was given to her by the pirates.

5. What is the name of your red, talking boat?

From Quiz Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Answer: King of the Red Lions

Your talking red boat, King of Red Lions, helps you get across the sea to visit your various destinations. You meet him after you are thrown out of the Forsaken Fortress by the Helmaroc King, he rescues you and brings you to shore on Windfall Isle.

From Quiz Wind Waker

Answer: Knuckle

Knuckle is the Tingle brother that wears blue, who when you complete his "quest" on Outset Island, can be seen on Tingle Island. He also gives you the Hand Me Down Tingle Tuner, which lets you buy things from him anywhere!

7. Where is Link from in this game?

From Quiz Zelda Windwaker Completions

Answer: Outset

Link lives there with his sister and grandma, along with a few neighbors. On Outset island the fighting brother (downstairs in a building near your house) will eventually challenge you to a duel. If you get 300 hits on him before he hits you three times, he will give you a whopping 100 rupees. Also, if you bring him 10 knights crests (stolen from Dark Nuts after removing their helmets with a dodge attack) he will teach you the whirlwind attack (very useful). While fighting the old brother, try jabbing twice to get some hits in, then do a backflip. If he doesn't attack, do a jump attack. If he does, just press the dodge button.

9. What is the name of your sister?

10. "You know I care about .... the treasure." Who said this?

Answer: Tetra

Tetra's crew accused her of caring more about the island than the treasure. I think she said this because she cares about Link.

Tetra is a spunky pirate leader met by Link when the bird that kidnaps Aryll drops her in a forest. Medli is a member of the Rito tribe who learns of a special fate. From Quiz "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker"

Answer: Six

They are separated into three different kind of songs: 3/4, 4/4, and 6/4, with two songs each. The songs for 3/4 are the Wind's Requiem and the Song of Passing; the songs for 4/4 are Ballad of Gales and the Command Melody; the 6/4 songs are the Earth God's Lyrics and the Wind God's Aria.

13. What island does our hero call home?

From Quiz The World of the Wind Waker

Answer: Outset Island

It's actually two main islands, connected by two bridges. Outset has a population of 11 (including yourself, your sister Aryll, your grandmother and the great god Jabun). Because this is years after 'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time', technically, you are not Link (you have the option to choose another name), but Grandma dresses you up like him as an homage to his heroic deeds.

24. On Outset Island there is a dungeon called the Savage Labyrinth. What enemy do you encounter on the sixth floor?

From Quiz Extra! Extra!

27. What is the first item you obtain?

From Quiz Zelda Windwaker Completions

Answer: Telescope

This item is automatic; you get it in the opening sequence. Once you're on the hunt for triforce maps, go to Windfall. Go up to the bridge to the Forest and look through the telescope where the guy is looking with his telescope. You will see a giant headstone. If you have the bracelets, change the wind that way and soar with the deku leaf. (Make sure your magic is full). Lift the stone, and inside will be a series of about 50 rooms filled to the brim with baddies. Besides the beginning and a half-way checkpoint, there are no chances to refill hearts, so be careful. To refill hearts, simply kill as much guys as you need to feel safe, then steal from them with the grappling hook. Usually an enemy will give you hearts if you do.

From Quiz Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
