7. It's not often that you can turn on a western movie and hear Clint Eastwood singing along. You can, however, hear his vocal cords in this movie. Actually, he does have a nice voice, but I was surprised that he would take this role after his, "Good, Bad and Ugly" days. What movie is this where you hear Clint singing, "I Talk to the Trees"? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. Shirley MacLaine is the tops in my books. She can act her way through any script out there. What movie would you hopefully NEVER do again? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. Dustin Hoffman gave us the wonderful role of Ted Kramer in the movie, "Kramer vs. Kramer", as a newly divorced father. After this wonderful role, he slipped on the high heels, donned the make up and took on the role of Dorothy Michaels. Lucky we like you Dustin, but what were you thinking? Over the years he seemed to have loosened up a bit, playing the role of Jimmy McGinty in "The Replacements", for example. Even in the cartoon "Antz" he played the rough sounding General Mandible. I for one was totally surprised to see him put on a wig and walk out the front door in this movie. What movie am I talking about? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Madonna portrayed the role of Eva Peron with such class and with such style. She sang her heart out in the movie, "Evita" and gave this role her all. Her next venture fizzled, in which she teamed up with Rupert Everett. Did she even read the script for this movie before taking the part? Why did she agree to waste her talent as Abbie Reynolds? What movie was this, where she has a baby with her best friend?

Answer: The Next Best Thing

Madonna has ventured in and out of good and bad movies throughout her career. She was in "Shanghai Surprise" with ex-husband, Sean Penn, but both the movie and the marriage flopped. She soared in her role of Mae in, "A League of Their Own", with Tom Hanks.

When she teamed up with Rupert in "The Next Best Thing", it was so bad that even a baby couldn't bring this movie back together. The only thing this movie had going for it, was the music.
2. Demi was one of the "brat packers", hitting the screen in her younger days with such actors as, Estevez and Lowe. She grew out of those younger filming days and took on such great hits as "Ghost", "A Few Good Men" and "Indecent Proposal". She was offered over $12 million for the flop, "Striptease". The movie stunk big time, and then she went on to portray Lt. Jordan O'Neil in another flop the very next year. What movie is this?

Answer: G.I. Jane

Demi not only lost her credibility as a good actress, but she lost her beautiful locks too. Demi tries to become a Navy SEAL and shows us just how tough she really is, unfortunately we don't really care. Sorry Demi, but you deserved the Razzie Award for this movie!
3. Elizabeth Berkley went from one of her better roles in the "Saved by the Bell" television show, to one of the worst movies of all time. Lucky for her, after the flop she was asked to join the cast in "The First Wives Club". In what movie did she portray Nomi Malone, a Las Vegas dancer?

Answer: Showgirls

Nomi Malone wanted to hit it big in Vegas. Elizabeth Berkley wanted to hit it big as an actress. Both the actress and her character failed. They wanted Drew Barrymore for the part of Nomi, but lucky for Drew, the part was given to Elizabeth.

The movie, "Showgirls" won seven Razzies, and also won the Worst Picture of the Decade Award. Which is not quite the award you want to take home though.
4. Yo, Rocky! You were awesome as Rocky. You were fantastic as John Rambo in "First Blood". You were comical and cute in "Oscar". You were thrilling in "Cliffhanger", but Stallone, don't ever play the role of Sgt. Joe Bomowski with Estelle Getty again! This was the worst cop flick ever. Please stick to the "Rocky" roles. What movie is this?

Answer: Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot

Stallone was nominated for an Oscar for his role as Rocky in 1977, but he has picked up quite a few Razzie nominations over the years, including Razzies for "Rocky V" and "Oscar". I really did enjoy "Oscar", it was funny and cute. Stallone actually won the Razzie for "Stop!" and if you take my advice, you'll STOP before you rent the movie. We see Stallone and his mom, played by Estelle, team up to keep our streets safe.
5. Liza Minnelli picked up her Oscar for "Cabaret", in which she played the role of Sally. Liza also starred with Dudley Moore in the cute movie, "Arthur". What was the name of sequel that she should have stayed away from?

Answer: Arthur 2: On the Rocks

There was no reason to move on to the sequel, "Arthur 2: On the Rocks". Liza was cute in the first movie, but the sequel was nothing to write home about. Liza went from Oscar to Razzie with this movie, where she moves on with her marriage to Arthur.
6. Faye Dunaway was superb as Bonnie in the movie, "Bonnie and Clyde". She was nominated for an Oscar for her role in this movie and then was nominated for another Oscar for her role in "Chinatown". Faye picked up the Oscar for her role in "Network" with Peter Finch, but started the downward slope after picking up that Oscar. Can you select the movie for which she was NOT nominated for a Razzie Award?

Answer: Hurry Sundown

Faye was nominated for the Award of Most Promising Newcomer for her role in "Hurry Sundown". She was only nominated for a few Razzie Awards, but she did pick up the winning Award for "Mommie Dearest".

"What's wire hangers doing in this closet..."

Faye played the role of Joan Crawford, negative comments and all. What would Joan say? Faye, leave the roles to me!

Answer: Paint Your Wagon

Actually they did use Clint's voice for the singing part. You can even hear Lee Marvin crooning too. The movie was nominated for an Oscar, no not for Clint, but for the Best Music, Score of a Musical Picture, but "Hello, Dolly!" won that year. I'd like to see Clint in more musicals. How about "Space Singing Cowboys" or "The Singer, Josey Wales"?
8. Shirley MacLaine is the tops in my books. She can act her way through any script out there. She was awesome in "The Turning Point", and spectacular in "Terms of Endearment", but Shirley, what were you thinking of when you accepted the role of Veronica with J.J. McClure? What movie would you hopefully NEVER do again?

Answer: Cannonball Run II

The only thing I'll say about the "Cannonball" movies is that they look like everyone had fun filming them. Shirley, you went right from winning an Oscar in "Terms" to this role. Luckily you came back with another excellent performance in "Steel Magnolias". Please stick to the great Oscar winning flicks and leave Burt Reynolds to the cute racing flicks.
He was lucky he scored the Oscar nomination, but thank goodness no one stereotyped him as a woman! What cute movie was this?

Answer: Tootsie

Dustin Hoffman is an outstanding actor, but he took a major risk donning the high heels in this great movie. Dustin has been nominated for several Oscars and did pick up his first one for "Kramer vs. Kramer". Looking over the years, he was nominated for Oscars in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.

He's due to pick up something spectacular in the next decade. My favorite role of Dustin's was in "Rain Man", with Tom Cruise. Both gentlemen were superb, but Dustin took the cake and the Oscar!
10. Gene Hackman always seemed to play the rough and serious type of character.

Answer: The Birdcage

Gene has slightly changed his roles over his career in the movies. I see a lot more of a sense of humor coming out now, but putting on a wig? He really gave me a chuckle with that ending. Gene was nominated for Oscars for his more serious roles in "I Never Sang for My Father" and "Unforgiven". I go back a few years for my favorite movies with Gene. I credit both "Uncommon Valor" and "The Poseidon Adventure" as my personal favorites.

Now, before you accept that role, make sure you think ahead, because you could be in Linkan's quiz!
