Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night.'

Answer: All About Eve

One of the best movies about life in the theatre. Other goods ones are 'All That Jazz', 'A Chorus Line', and 'Waiting for Guffman'.
2. 'I like to watch.'

Answer: Being There

Peter Sellers' best performance and if you ask me he should have won the Oscar instead of Dustin Hoffman for 'Kramer vs Kramer'.
3. Lee Marvin won an Oscar for his dual roles in this movie.

Answer: Cat Ballou

An all around fun western with Jane Fonda, Nat 'King' Cole, and Stubby Kaye.
4. 'You've got to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk?'

Answer: Dirty Harry

This really made Clint Eastwood a star. Plus the wonderful performance of Andrew Robinson as Scorpio, one of the best villians in movie history. Some other great villians are Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) in 'Die Hard', The Joker (Jack Nicholson) in 'Batman', and Darth Vader (David Prowse-James Earl Jones) in 'Star Wars'.
5. One of the best directors made this movie about one of the worst directors.

Answer: Ed Wood

A no lose situation. The genius of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp (one of the most underrated actors).
6. Story of how a terrible plane crash affects the lives of its survivors. With Jeff Bridges.

Answer: Fearless

Jeff Bridges (also one of the most underrated actors) should have been nominated for the Oscar.
7. 'I Got You Babe' over and over again.

Answer: Groundhog Day

What a clever movie. Bill Murray, (again one of the most under rated actors) is great. Harold Ramis is quite a director. Check out 'Caddyshack', 'Vacation', 'Multiplicity', and 'Bedazzled'.
8. Pooka talk.

Answer: Harvey

Jimmy Stewart was such a good actor. He is in many of my favorite movies. But this movie has an Oscar winning performance from Josephine Hull and keep a look-out for a wonderful performance from Jesse White (the lonely Maytag repairman).
9. 'Look, Daddy! Teacher says every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.'

Answer: It's a Wonderful Life

What a classic! Jimmy Stewart again. And a great performance from Lionel Barrymore. Some other Jimmy Stewart classics are 'Bandolero', 'Shenandoah', 'The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance', 'The Greatest Show on Earth', 'The Stratton Story', and 'The Philadelphia Story'.
10. The magic bullet theory.

Answer: JFK

Oliver Stone directed this film. Some of his other great films are 'Talk Radio', 'Born on the Fourth of July' 'Wallstreet', and 'The Doors.'
11. Rupert Pupkin kidnaps Jerry Langford.

Answer: The King of Comedy

Robert De Niro and Jerry Lewis are both great in this very funny but disturbing movie.
12. Downtown there's a plant waiting for you.

Answer: Little Shop of Horrors

My all time favorite musical. Nicely done with Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, and Steve Martin.
13. The Knights of the Round Table and the Knights who say Ni.

Answer: Monty Python and the Holy Grail

What a funny movie! Two words. Python rules!
14. George Romero's zombie classic.

Answer: Night of the Living Dead

Creepy classic. Amazing how many sequels and copycats it spawned.
15. One of the few films to sweep all of the main categories at the Academy Awards.

Answer: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Wow! What a film! The basketball scene is great. Looking forward to trying to see it on Broadway with Gary Sinise.
16. You may quote Ezekiel after watching this movie.

Answer: Pulp Fiction

My first Quentin Tarantino experience. I saw 'Reservoir Dogs' and 'True Romance' (screenplay) after. If you haven't seen them, check them out.
17. One of Bill Murray's lesser known films about bank robbers.

Answer: Quick Change

What a great surprise! Rent this, it's lots of fun! With Geena Davis and Randy Quaid. Check out 'Scrooged' as well.
18. Hitchcock's peeping tom classic.

Answer: Rear Window

My favorite Hitchcock movie. Jimmy Stewart again. With Grace Kelly and Raymond Burr. Other Hitchcock greats are 'The Birds', 'Psycho', and 'Dial M for Murder'.
19. Tax reform in prison.

Answer: The Shawshank Redemption

What can I say about this movie. Tremendous! Even women like it. And for a prison movie, that's saying something.
20. Woody and Buzz. The first adventure.

Answer: Toy Story

A very funny and clever movie. 'Toy Story 2' was a little bit of a let down though.
21. Al Capone, Eliot Ness, and Brain De Palma.

Answer: The Untouchables

Sean Connery and Robert De Niro were amazing.
22. John Carpenter's tale of destroying blood suckers.

Answer: Vampires

A fast moving fun movie. The party scene left you breathless (if you like lots of blood and gore).
23. One of the best movies ever made. There's no place like this movie.

Answer: The Wizard of Oz

My all time favorite movie. Just amazing what they did in 1939. It still easily compares to any movie of today.
24. One of the few good comic book movies.

Answer: X-Men

This movie was very true to the comic except for a few minor things. And they were smart enough not to give the stuntman, the model, and the wrestler too many lines.
25. The monster sings 'Putting on the Ritz'.

Answer: Young Frankenstein

It's hard to pick between this and 'Blazing Saddles' as my favorite Mel Brooks movie.
